Well....I have to say that I liked progressive music before I even had a name for it. The GU sound has rocked my boat since I discovered it after about 3 years of prior clubbing.

I have bought a lot of CD's over the years and my collection reflects the darker side of prog....HOWEVER....nothing excites me any more with this genre. I can't be arsed spending the time to get to like albums when they all sound the same....Danny Howells NF3 is the latest example of this....I switch it off before it swings...and I'm not sure that it even does...despite plaudits amongst trainspotters everywhere.

Anyway....found a very interesting slant on this on the excellent Resident Advisor website.

Read the articale under the following link...and those interested ot with an opinion...WHAT DO YOU THINK????
