Producers / DJs - Auckland Community Meet Up - Chat - Drinks

Right, so all of those that know me, know I like to talk about the kind of stuff that can drive most people into a sort of semi-conscious daze.

So, I thought it about time I actually sorted out a way of assembling a group of like minded people to talk about common interests.

The production, and playing of electronic music in its various forms.

So. This is it. A call to all the DJ's and Producers in NZ (Auckland, initially) to come out of the woodwork and talk geek.

I have a few ideas for a venue, and it might change over time, but essentially, want to set a date for a loosely organised, informal get together.

I intend to organise a 'guest' for each night, one of the many people I have had the fortune of working with / selling stuff too, over the years to come up for a chat, and then also just try to encourage interaction and networking between people.

So, sign up to to the Facebook Group to make sure you get updated, the more people we get, the more likely I am to do this regularly, and the more beneficial that this could be for the music producers / DJ community. God knows that we have needed something like this for long enough. I just hope I can help facilitate it.

Eventually I would like to organise occasional hands on play with new gear, proper seminars, lectures and so on, but first of all, we need to show that there are enough people interested enough to get up out of their studios and come out on the odd Tuesday or Wednesday Evening for a couple of hours. Details as they come!
