Preference: European vs American

Not saying one is better than the other, but is there anyone out there who leans to either side?
European:English, French, Italian, German etc.
Apart for my love of the french gear, I generally feel the USA stuff has a wee bit more substance to it.
It feels a bit more soulful.

You mean for house?

America (including Canada) makes the UK look like a bunch of radio music wannabes in general.

In electronic dance music overall ze Germans and plenty of guys in the UK etc are doing mean business still.

I have no preference for either and take liberally from both, also depends on the sub-sub-sub genre

For the most part, I prefer the stuff out of the US. The boompty boompt of Chicago, the sexy soulful steez out of San Francisco. Fucking luverly

But as Bob D said, depends on the sub-genre. I prefer my tech house from a mixed bag, ze Germans first and foremost, but Detroit too.

Progressive house mostly from the Euros.

The French can be a bit naff, but I do like some of it

i'm all in for Chilean house via Berlin and Switzerland.

i think these things should be able to change, lots of people get stuck on one and never really manage to move on

I'd recommend anything from Black Coffee, Afefe Iku and everything from Culoe De Song.

Deep House and Kwaito have a really strong scene in South Africa. It's not Africans that need to lift their game but we as enthusiasts that need to lift ours.
