Well we are going to have to replace Kaino at least for the next 2 years. This is how I see our All Blacks for 2012:

1 - Tony Woodcock (still the best by a mile, even at his age)
2 - Corey Flynn (he's performing way better than Mealamu now - think Mealamu's time is over tbh)
3 - Ben/Owen Franks
4 - Anthony Boric (not too sure who else could fit in here tbh)
5 - Sam Whitelock
6 - Victor Vito
7 - Richie McCaw
8 - Keiran Read
9 - Andy Ellis (I think TJ Perenara should be given a shot this year even though it's his debut season for the canes - he's been epic! Piri and Andy are starting to get toward the end of their playing careers as halfbacks)
10 - Dan Carter* (So much to choose from for backups, Cruden would be my first choice, then Beaudan Barrett, then Tom Taylor - Tom looks like the better player statistically but he's surrounded by a lot more all black talent, beauden doesn't have much to work with and is extremely talented)
* Assuming DC comes back into form a bit more
11, 14 - Richard Kahui/Cory Jane/Hosea Gear/Zac Guildford (would be happy with any of these tbh)
12 - SBW (he's really awesome this year, shits all over Nonu in his current form, but that could be due to Pat Lam being an awful coach)
13 - Conrad Smith (still the greatest !)
15 - I know i'll get shit for this but Dagg has been terrible so far. Andre Taylor however has been great, he's a way better attacking fullback imo.

Thoughts ?

Remember the All Blacks aren't necessarily picked on S15 form, they are picked on their history in the All Black jersey also.

There's no way guys like Mealamu, Nonu, Dagg, even Piri Weepu will get left out of the squad. The latter just needs to lose some weight. Nonu in particular has proven time and time again that as soon as he puts a black jersey on he plays twice as good.

Looking at the above our forward pack is pretty weak. I think we'll lose our away games this year.

I wasn't suggesting they wouldn't be picked, I am sure most of the ones I have slanted will. Sorry, I should have clarified I am picking based on S15 form.

These are my suggestions for additions to the team... and the positions I see as firmly solid at least for 2012 (for those who were previously All Blacks, not so much my new additions). Nonu again could be awesome in the black jersey, and depending on what SBW does in the next year Nonu will probably still remain the first pick.

I have no doubt those guys will be picked based on previous form but at the same time Steve Hansen has said he's looking toward the next RWC and there will be some transition years as new players get a chance.

The forward pack yeah some issues there, I don't know the chiefs forward pack well enough to pick out the good players, but defensively they are the best team (although this could easily be due to the addition of Wayne Smith as defensive coach).

Any coach who uses form as the number one guide to selections is a terrible coach. Form is temporary and in a team sport the combinations are more important than individuals.

Well there are lapses of form and then there's what Piri is going through at the moment... do you guys really think he'll still get selected for the June tests?

Toeava, McAlister and Donald. Proof Super Rugby does not correlate to All Black form and luckily the wise ones know this.

Piri won't be anywhere near the squad nor Cowan.

Couple of bolters for the Second part of Tour: Coles/Elliot, Barrett/Taylor and Smith/Kerr Barlow
