Just got back from playing cash @ casino for first time -- walked away with $500 profit at the 2/3 table

Got lucky in the first hour with A-Q > A-K and then pretty much never lost a big pot from then on. So many weird as fuck plays!

I'm in CO with 9-9 and dude in EP raises to $10. I call. Button calls. SB calls. BB shoves for like $120. Now, as initial raiser is tanking, SB asks him why so much yada yada... and BB basically explains exactly what he was thinking "Well there's $40 out there already so if I shove I'll probably get everyone to fold and even if I get a call I'm still probably drawing live yada yada"... I mean he was basically saying "HEY GUYS I HAVE A-K/A-Q!!!"... that quote doesn't realy give it justice because initial raiser tanked for 2-3 minutes and the whole time he was talking about his hand and what he was thinking. So when initial raiser eventually folds I shove OTT and my hand holds up heh.. was just so weird :>

Heh awesome.. just after I text you I did exactly the same thing Tuesday week. From those games at dead moneys I think you have enough/the right sort of game to crush live cash at SKY. And thats a nice start. Beware though...it's def possible to run really bad and when you do it's soulcrushing I just leave after I've lost 2 buy ins. If I try to stay after 2 I just play awful splashing around etc

I got there @ about 7.15 for freeze out but it was some satellite so played cash instead. Left a bit after midnight when my table broke up. Was gonna leave anyway 'cos my phone had died so hadn't told the missus i was gonna be home late and didn't wanna get the beats when I got home! :>

I definitely can see the potential for terrible run-bad @ that game given people's weird styles though...

Made a terrible start very first hand I played though.

In BB. UTG raises to $13, button calls, SB folds, I look down at A-A lolz. So I look at the size of the raise, and because I'm not familiar with the cash chips, for some reason I think the red ones are $10 (not $5). So I think the raise was a (ridiculous) $23. So I raise to $65 and everyone snap folds heh

There's one thing that's been bothering me all day so might as well ask you guys about it. I suppose it's about reads/live tells, but I'm talking more generally, as opposed to specific things people do in the middle of a hand. So yesterday I called a shove with A-Qs, which was entirely due to what I thought of the player.

He was this British guy, who had a rack of chips on the table next to him with a few thousand on there. He ordered some food and pulled this *massive* wad of cash out when he paid the guy (he pulled it out onto the table for everyone to see). He had a gold chain, was really loud and obnoxious etc. Not sure if he was pissed, but I was sitting next to him and he fucking STUNK of beer.

Anyway, in this hand, about 6 players limped and it came to me in the BB with AcQc, so I raise it to like $24 or something, and then the British guy insta-shoved from UTG. Given that while he's been pretty active, he actually hasn't gotten out of line like this yet (it's only been about 4 orbits since I sat down though), is it +EV to call here based on his character/demeanour

I'll do one. Have to pass sky on way home from work Saturday so I pop in. Instantly realise my table sucks 5-6 good regs. 5 hands in Asian on my riht who I don't know but has a competent air raises over utg limper to 15, I flat with AQo, llimper calls.

Flop A 7 3 rainbow. Asian bets $30, I call limper folds. Asian castes a blatant greedy glance at my stack. Fuck didnt like that. AK?

Villian looks at my stack greedily again. So obvious I think he might be acting. Kings a good card tho so when he announces ALLIN in a forceful tone I snap him

Shows AK drawing dead gg cbf reloading and leave feeling a lil pissed I almost wiped out a saturday at work getting coolered in 10 mins standard though rigjt.? I just don't play enough live to go with reads like that

Ya that's the kind of hand you can fold after you've played at the table a couple hours and have a better idea of the dynamics etc, but pretty tough right at the start of a session

Still cut up about Friday. Have never lost that much gambling in one session and left feeling like a filthy degen

I get there and I'm at a table that seems full of regs, 3 or 4 waiting for the 5/5 game to start, so I decide to just nit it up and get a feel for everyone @ teh table.
After abut 30 minutes, I get 10-10 in MP with an early raiser ($15 raise). I flat call and two callers behind me (one of them is the BB). Flop 6-6-7 (two spades). BB, who is one of the people waiting for 5/5 table and has been relentlessly aggressive, leads out for ~35. I call, and am very confident he's on a draw. Turn K(not a spade). He checks. I'm not a big fan of this card at all... all the Ks hands just got there, so I check hoping for cheap showdown. River: blank. He quickly leads out for about half pot. I don't think I can fold there, all his missed draws do the same thing I think. I call and he has Ks10s. *sigh*

Reload.

Leak a few chips by playing badly and then new guy comes to table, telling everyone he won 3 grand @ blackjack and berating waiters for taking too long to bring him his rum n coke. I fucking detest him straight away. He loses a pot and then starts open shoving w/out looking at his cards. So when he's in BB and it folds to me in CO I raise with AQo and he obv shoves from BB for like $70. I call. He turns over 4-8o.Flop a Q, no draws. Turn 4, river 8. Ok cool, I'll just reload again.

And then I just played spewy until I had about $100 behind, wake up with AKss in BB after about 7 people limped. Made it $30. One caller.

Settings > General > Restrictions > Allowed Content > Apps

Play around in that, app should have a rating on it, set allowed ratings to less than that. When you wanna play, go in and turn off restrictions.

That *should* do what you want.

Well anything I played today was back to the usual Pokerstars cold decking/nothing holding/can’t win a flip or a 60/40 crap.

Play a 6 max SNG and rocket up to 7K from 1500 starting though fish being fish and just gifting me their chips, guy defends his blind with 52os, I flop top 2 pair A J 9 board, fill up on the Turn and he just triple barrel bluffed his whole stack to me on the very first hand…but right when the blinds are creeping up and it all starts to really count, I raise with 99 at 50/100 blinds to 300…someone shoves 1400 with ATos and he binks it…raise with AKs to 300, someone shoves 1300 with 77 and I brick…3 handed now at 75/150, I raise with JJ to 400, someone shoves 2200, call, Queens, obviously…3 bet my last 2100 with AKs get snapped by QJos who binks it…good game, fuck you Pokerstars.

Other games copped set over set, me in front, guy turns quads...flopped King high flush into flopped Ace high flush...race 77 vs A9 and the board double pairs paint cards to give it to him with his Ace high...constant sickness, this is the Pokerstars I know and loathe...teases you in with one good run, then fucks you in the ass at every occassion thereafter
