I was wondering if anyone has any feedback on the below which I was going to start doing in the mornings - does it sound like a safe exercise routine?

1) Done under a "Fasted State" either in the morning or 5 hours after eating
2) Take 200mg caffeine 30 minutes before your workout
3) 5-10 minutes of a low intensity warmup
4) 10 minutes of High Intensity Interval Training
5) Rest for 5 minutes to allow fatty acids to be released into the bloodstream
6) 20-40 minutes of Steady State Cardio done at medium to low intensity. This is what is going to use those released fatty acids for fuel!
7) Wait one hour and then eat

has anyone had much luck with Plyometric Exercises which ones are good and does anyone have any exercise tips that would help strengthen upper body for boxing ie: arms, shoulders etc...

Cool thanks Very Happy

Plyometrics is really for creating power and explosiveness in the muscles. It is usually sports specific to produce improvements in certain areas like jumping or speed etc.

If you have a carefully planned routine by someone who knows what they're doing, then I'm sure there can't really be any harm, but I've never heard of 'Joe Public' getting involved with Plyometrics outside sports specific training.

My only advice would be to be wary of falling for whatever is the latest fad in exercise, or some sales pitch that a practitioner is giving you. There is no fast or easy way to lose weight and stay healthy.

Do not under any circumstances start on the plyometrics program without the correct prep. You will injure yourself.

The right prep would be a good three month strength program. And this is only touching on the surface.
