Theres a court order against releasing any information which may lead to the identities of the people involved.

The sun have, but its illegal to report it in NZ. If people post the names or links to it on biggie then the people behind biggie and/or the poster could get in major trouble.

Overseas media aren't subject to NZ suppression orders so they can publish the name, but ANYTHING said in NZ that could lead to people finding it out here is a breach of the suppression order.


it's interesting that the law hasn't been able to keep up with thechnology on this one, given it would be realtively easy to find the name on the net esp since all the media have been carrying today it was in UK newspaper.

I dunna think we need to know anyway, he's done nothing wrong and there's no justifiable public interest reason for us knowing who he is.
