Why try getting a dodgy warrent?
If your car is unsafe to be driven on the road you are only cheating yourself.
And if you do have a accident the chances of you being hurt or killed are more as the car is more likely to break apart under structural weakness that would of been picked up by the testing officer.

HINT.......Dont go to a VTNZ testing station, they are a bunch of wankers......Go to a local garage instead. They are a little more leniant

Well I think they just be pricks to anyone the comes in with a "boy racer" car. I failed my warrant for sum bullshit things like my seatbelt is "worn". Can you tell me they wouldnt have looked past that if someone would have come in with a standard car. Another thing is they said the exhaust is too loud its past many warrants in the past with the exhaust and it isnt even that loud compared to many other cars out there. I just wanna know a place that dont act like complete pricks to guys with "boy racer" cars.

I understand with the noisy exhaust cause I had the same problem, until I got one of my mechanics to fab up a removable silencer with some off cuts, drilled a hole in the end of my muffler and bolt the bastard in.
But the frayed belt I would replace, those suckers are strong, we use them sometimes to lift engines out of wrecked cars. But when they fray its like unraveling a knitted jersey!
You can get a second hand one from a wrecker from about $50 onwards (Depends on what vehicle) if its a Nissan then most likely I would have it in stock....
