Places that play progressive/tribal in London

Can anyone recommend some good progressive/tribal clubs to check out over in London?

It depends as much on the night as it does on the club. Like Steve Lawler plays the last friday of every month at The End, but every other friday it is drum'n'bass. There is a monthly Renaiisance night at The Cross, but thats one saturday a month, altho Seb Fontaine has a monthy saturday at The Cross too which can be quite proggy.

Bedrock (Digweed and friends) play the first thursday of every month at Heaven. And the main room at Fabric on saturday nights can be quite proggy, but it depends who;s playing. Turnmills also often has quite proggy sounds too.

This saturday at the end there is an exceptionally good tech-house night (which can get a bit tribal) put on by Layo and Bushwacka... i might even go myself!

Anyhoo, I'll be back in the NZ for 6 - 8 weeks over summer starting December 18, and will no doubt be catching up with a number of "first wave" flipsiders. Am happy to catch up and brief you more before you arrive, and if you're really lucky i'll even take you on a guided tour of the prog/tribal scene when i get back

hey steve. sorry i didnt get this. dont have the net at home, only work. we had a big party at home sat night so didnt make it to The End unfortunatley. How was DC?

DC was stonking - and a nice big crew out as well - me, Greenie, Tonymanero, the original Special K, fairyprincess and plenty of non-biggies too. Though i liked the guy who played just before DC most, all of the DJ's in the main room were good.

Might take it easy for a while now tho.... well, maybe i'll have one more weekend out this weekend, and then take it easy for a while...

Don't get into that way of thinking or it will never end! I've been a bit of a nana lately, not going out much. But we have decks at home now so a lot of my money goes on that instead of going out, hehe. I would love to see Derrick Carter again but he's here every month! Love it!

Every two months actually... Usually the 3rd saturday of every even-numbered month (April, June, August, etc...)

Well I'm arriving in London on Monday 12th January at will be taking a wee holiday I'm thinking, then will be keen as to catch up with you all and go see some of these clubs etc.
