pillar mount gauges being denied WOF

just happened to a mate - anyone heard of such things?

Yup - they can't extend past a vertical line at the right hand edge of the steering wheel, I think.

A friend of mine was failed for it in his car, but it turned out they'd measured it wrong and his gauges were fine.

Yeah, this has been around for years, just not many know about it.

So the best solution is to put in a smaller steering wheel?

best solution is to take it down to marua road g.a.s in ellerslie who will pass it no worries lol

I wonder if anyones been failed on a 200sx where piller mounted gauges are standard?
I spose they pass the vertical line bollcks though.

They're factory so It would be a no, but its a bit odd to fail on that rule being that you wouldnt really look at those gauges for standard road use
