Where are the best places to go on a picnic with your mates over summer?

Hopefully the Up FM summer series will be starting up in Novemberish also DITS will be coming soon
Mission Bay is always half decent on a good day Piha, Muriwai(sp) are also awesome beaches with actual surf and all 20mins from my house

George FM will be starting their beach parties soon. Its usually november they get stuck into them isnt it?
