first 5k tax free - a potential winning policy if.... only the numbers stacked up for which the funding needed would come from don't

or is Labour about to find and claw back over 1 billion in tax avoidance to pay for this election promise... chances slim as fuck

agree with imposing a new higher tax threshold but I'd like to see more in this realm to close the gaps used to dodge tax currently add a capital gains tax etc.

righto.. Phil you must do better

If I were labour I would make Phil a fall guy, I really dont think he has any hope of doing anything but helping out national.
[quote]
fall guy for who?

I believe he's the best chance labour have currently, unless the party has a stomach for infighting and the like which would pretty much assure them no chance this year

I do believe the party needs some better policy/PR advisors... every time they get close to saying something good they shoot themselves in the foot - such as here with a ill conceived notion of how to pay for this policy

whatever, I do believe we're in for a fascinating year politically... hopefully one that actually benefits the country as a whole not just a ever rotating circle of political and economic elites - all parties take note

we expect children to learn why not politicans

Was laughing about this last night. I dont have very much respect for goff but if I had it would have been gone now. How on earth did he think he could do both a flip flop, condradict his own moral stand and get away with it?

much lol
[quote]
tis quite pathetic isn't it.... I've tried to defend Goff and his leadership for too long... for me its now time to stop

*shakes head and mutters*
[quote]
The only decent thing he did was explicitly recant what he said previously about transparency and guilty until proven innocent.

Maybe he deserves a little credit for at least dripping in the right direction when under pressure.
[quote]
yeah but he's done that before but not as well - refer to the shooting looters so called joke...

and he should know so much better than this - he so should play the quiet intelligent thoughtful leader card, he'd so suit that role but instead he's on the bumbling key didn't think brain-fart wagon (which kinda works for key but not goff)

I think they already have no chance this year. And I think various people in Labour know this, so they will leave Goff in charge as taking over his job now is just going to result in a hiding anyway come election time.
[quote]
I dobn't beleive they have no chance... polls suggest that there are voters looking for a non national lead option

but Labour have to step up and win votes - Goff could do this if he talked to us not at us - ie he's not the strong leader type - so don't try to be... talk and angage the electorate in a calm rational manner... something Goff is more than capable of doing

Itime for Goff et al to aim the gun away from thier feet

for the record , quite a lengthy piece.

PR campaign moves into action.

the two pieces (is there a third) make for good reading - its like a modern history of the labour party with Phil Goff being the focal point - not quite the fluff pieces they did on Key last election and so much better for it... nice one auntie
