More than just a summertime music festival, The Parihaka International Peace Festival is a flame of hope in a world full of conflict and unrest.

The Parihaka International Peace Festival presents a vision for the future of humanity, a light as bright as the stars in the sky. The iconic white feather of Parihaka is the emblem embodying the visions and insights of the 19th century spiritual leaders Te Whiti o Rongomai and Tohu Kakahi, world famous for their foundational work and sacrifice as fathers of non-violent resistence.

The Parihaka International Peace Festival honors the teachings of these leaders and the legacy they have provided for the people of the world. To share in this legacy is a gift that encourages movement toward a just, peaceful and non-violent society.

We invite you to join us for the launch of this festival as we prepare to take part in the cultural. artistic, spiritual, historical and thought provoking dialogue of enrichment that has characterized the Parihaka experience as a vehicle for action.

On the24th October Sandwiches ignites the flame and sets the wheels in motion.
