painting a car

i am looking into painting a car/van. however, i only want to do a bang up shit job, so i couldnt give a shit as to the quality. as long as it looks sweet for a few months, its all good.

can anyone give me any idea as to the best way to do this?

buy spraypaint and get an artistically gifted friend to have a go?
pay a proper car person to do it with shit paint?

how much would the paint and all that cost?

I bought a shitty 99 suzuki scooter and got did a snow camoflauge paint job on it. I think the cans were $14 each, its awesome if you have a little bump or crash because you can spray right over it.

how far do you get off one can?
