Black Canvas' debut LP is out now via download.
UK act Black Canvas is Mr. Melody and Rider Shafique working alongside Chubby J from Pressure Drop. The album incorporates the roots of reggae and stems of dubstep, hip hop, breaks and drum n bass to create a multi-genre masterpiece that comes straight from the heart.
Breaks fans will know Mr Melody from his vocal work on Freestylers' 'Warrior Charge' and appearances on Adam Freeland's 'Now & Them' album. Shafique meanwhile had his debut 12†‘Rider (Rhyme Provider’)’ released on One Eye Records and has collaborated on recordings with Pressure Drop, Black Grass, Chase & Status and Al Haca amongst others.
Collaborations on “Rise†include Chase & Status who lend their trademark drum n bass talents on “Broken Dreams†whilst breakbeat wonder boy Ed Solo gets down and dirty with his co-production of “We Fear Notâ€.
Fans of Pressure Drop, Horace Andy or Dub Pistols will best be checking this one out.
