The tracks are really good, the mixing is crap...if you dont mind a bit of shoddy mixing then buy it!
[quote]
yeah i thort they cood have got sum1 betta than tim phin to mix it up!
[quote]
Theres nothing wrong with Tim Phin...

I can't comment on the new CD cause I haven't heard it, but the Remix mag CD that he released a while back was dope - Cool tracks + sweet mixing.
[quote]
Exactly, I haven't heard the new CD but his Remix Cd was fine.
[quote]
haven't heard tim phin's ourhouse cd, expect it will be on par with his re:mix cd, which is still funktasticSmile

Brought it Tuesday and love it!
Nice selection of tracks and better mixing than I could ever do.

2 bad he cant mix..o well..theres plenty other djs that can mix beta..couldnt they find anyone else? ..i wonda wot the pay was like

The AM CD is definitely the better of the two ... Those killa hits that guarantee a booty shake are Kings of Tomorrow - Finally, Ian Pooley & Esthero - Balmes (A Better Life) and Inland Knights - Steal The Feel (Turn) .... tho i found that particular track to be a bit of a tease with only a duration of one minute thirty two and its one of the best tracks on the cd!

Overall, an okay mix for those summer afternoons when ya laxing out wid the buddies!
[quote]
yeah i agree with chilling out listening to it on a warm summer afternoon its perfect
[quote]
I think its one of the most boring cds ive ever heard in a while, thats my opinion of it though.
[quote]
for all its cheese, I quite like it, good in the car on the motorway, chillin in the sun...
[quote]
PS: haven't listened to the 2nd CD yet....

I have to agree.
But I think this is just the first of a series
of Our House Music mix cds
other volumes to come will be mixed by
other djs.
Like the Remix cds they will come out every
2 months or so.

Our House Music vol 2 mixed by Mike Havoc perhaps?

bought the cd the other day and with the exception of the ian pooley vocal mix of balmes and a few others was not too impressed. Yes the mixing was pretty shit, but the cd never really goes anywhere. start middle and end on both discs its as flat as a pancake. Kinda disappointing really, cause the majority of the remix cover cds are brilliant.
[quote]
i think its really good!!Smile
[quote]
i think its good too!

though, in saying that, I think anything you get for free is good so maybe my expectations weren't as high ... hehehehe

Well below average. I doubtr it will even sell down here in Wgtn. Ya average Auckland punter will love it cus they done know any better. I think Tim should have learnt his lesson after that dreadfully programmed Remix cd last year where every mix was off point. An intelligent dj knows his limitations and sticks to them.

I guess that makes me and the majority of my mates above average Aucklanders.

rider what do you ride?
the cd's brilliant, the mixes are good , not
brilliant but good enough, to let the flow of the cd
work.

Ya average Welly punter will propably hate it cus
they don't know any better!

I guess you are an intelligent DJ then ?
[quote]
dear mr rider

tim maybe not be an "intelligent dj" but atleast he tries to be a bit innovative now & then.

cheers for the DHnF set Tim brilliant, nice to see u guys doing backspins & shit.....loved the "i love house music" sample going on & on thru-out the set. also great to see u fully enjoying urself while u were up there
