They have always been called that, Western Reds when debuted in 95 with Warriors or Perth Reds in Super League

So why give them the same fucken name again, something that failed before? duh

Agreed Q, the Titans appear to be prospering were the Seagulls failed so any new franchise should have no connection to the Reds, plus we have the Queensland Reds in Super Rugby now so a fresh start is definitely the way to go. Also there may be legal issues with the name as well - doubtful as they were the Western Reds before Super Rugby but it'd depend on whether it was viewed as a separate entity or not.

It wasnt fun to watch with Blues glasses on, Queensland werent brilliant with ball in hand but they completed sets made well chased pinpoint kicks and every little thing seemed to go their way. The count was horrible, I dot blame him for that try that came off his legs but everything else he did was insipid. Including dropping that easy ball in contact vs Slater when it was 0-0. Total Momentum killer and it was all downhil from there. The commentator had it exactly right when he said Slater just went into impact more positvely

I had it wrong about Mal when I 1st heard he would coach Origin, he either has great support or he is a fine coach. Wont be long before he has an NRL side surely (if he wants one)

Was more annoyed that no one punched him back, guaranteed penalty for the blues afterwards as Thaiiday would've been guilty of starting when he came from miles away and dished out that whack in the face (wasn't really a punch as his fist wasn't closed) but no one kicked on, missed out on a penalty and a fight. Someone needed to force the ref's hand though and kick it off.

Remember last year,?when he belted Jennings from behind when he was just trying ti break up a mini stoush. He's an asshole

Also Minichello... Only had one game in him by the looks, his reading of the kicks was terrible as every time the ball went past him and he was turning and bringing it out from the in goal. The Queensland kicking game was very good but Minchello made it look so much better.

Blues had NO spark at all for the majority of the first half. Could've been a cricket score but they pegged a few back

I think they really need a few enforcers in the team.

Justin Hodges is also right up there in the Origin cunt factor stakes

Mitchell Pearce has no place in Origin. I'm going to go ahead and assume that was his last game. I don't care who they pick next year, they'll be better than Pearce. As above:
- Minicello was shit. Couple of unlucky bounces, but meh, don't be so shit.
- Thaiday unprovoked clock to the face... WTF. Unpenalised?
- Wonder what will happen to Cameron Smith. Didn't look like malice, but was pretty ugly/stupid
- Kicking game was INCREDIBLE in the early encounters from QLD. Was the winning of the game imo
- 2 crucial breaks leading to turnovers and dropped balls really enabled QLD to cement dominance, game over right there

Finally, I would much prefer that injury happened to Billy Slater. The cunt of all cunts!

Man that first half hour domination was so incredible to watch. So clinical, so disciplined, so well drilled. It's a team that is so used to winning, they know the formula and just drill away at it until they get it. Gotta respect the talent in that team!

So Lockyer gone, has Prince been playing well enough to get automatic selection or would it be someone else? I reckon Slater could be a bolter at five eighth, he plays as another five eighth as it is and maybe Hoffman gets a run at fullback. We'll see...

At least this year I didnt feel like we were too overpowered ie Qland had all the Stars like some previous years. I thi nk Qland just had their shit together better as evidenced by their kick chase/goalline restart game, plus momentum. That was the difference, and while I really like Scott Prinbce Im not convinced his game is ideally suited to Origin, certainly not like DL is anyway

That and 2 games in NSW next year, Im picking it ends at 6

Very much doubt we will be seeing Scott Prince in that position. Much more likely to see Cronk move in there.

Yeah think that's a bit of a no-brainer with Cronk already in the team.
