unfortunately the time has come....my faithful nokia has given me the finger and gone to phone heaven Crying or Very sad so i now have to face the sad sad task of getting a new one! i've decided for better or worse to go for a vodafone but theres so many to choose from! i'm thinking to spend about $350 at the most....any ideas on what to go for would b awesome!!!

Since you've already got the vodafone account set up i definitely think you should get the phone somewhere other than a vodafone shop.

If your in auckland theres a real good shop on constellation drive off the motorway called Parallel Imported (dont be put off by the name!). They have a huge range of all brands of phones and have massive savings on them. I bought a nokia 5140 from $420 from their before it even hit the shops in auckland and even now they are still being sold for $600+. Plus all their phones have 1 year warrantys that can be extended.

As far as choice goes ive always been pretty faithful to the Nokia's. They seem to have the best features but mainly the reliability of them compared to the rest is really good. Otherwise i would have to say SonyEricsson are really up there now and have some real flash phones.

With that price range of yours in mind im sure you'd find what you need there, goodluck! Froggy

Problem is, VF & Telecom don't support Parallel Imported phones, so if you have issues with the setup of it, there's no help available, unless you pay for store assistance...

If you want simplicity just get that $99 Nokia, Nice and reliable. No nifth gadgets but hey

Heh ok Mr.Phoneman Razz But I don't know, yeah I guess it'd just suck 'cos Vodafone wouldn't be able to really help you out without you having to pay moneys.

Theres a real simple solution to getting it all set up with vodafone and its free, even if the phone wasnt bought with vodafone or anything.

Just call 777 and go through to customer service then just tell them ur mobile number and model phone uve got and ask for the PXT & WAP settings, within a min or 2 they send all the settings through to ur phone for you... simple!
