Old laptop - parts?

Is there any demand for laptop parts?

I'm about to chuck out an old laptop with these specs:

Dell Inspiron 6400
Core 2 Duo Processor
1GB Ram , 80GB HD.

It's a solid 5 years old now, and is pretty fucked to use, eg. it won't run without AC power (I've tried 2x DELL batteries), and the 'a' key doesn't work (although sometimes it's works by itself).

Was about to chuck it out but figured it might be worth $50 for parts or something? Am i dreaming?

Throw it on TradeMe for $1 reserve stating those faults, you'll make some beer money out of it certainly.
