NZ TUI MUSIC AWARDS 2003

Sooooo ... I cruised along to the awards last night .....

good to finally see dance music, hip hop, roots and pacific categories in the fold!

deceptikonz & blindspott made a stunning intro - one of the best performances on the night, anika moa had a cute wee dance onstage and her live rendition of "Falling In Love Again" emphasised her sweet voice and added soul to the song, big ups massiff to Goodshirt for winning on the Sophie video

totally stoked that Trinity Roots grabbed Best Roots Album - my only question was "Why wasn't Black Seeds nominated too?"

props to Katchafire for grabbing the Highest Selling Single - about time we saw more reggae & roots being recognised

the best thing about the awards was the fact that there are more genre categories being represented ... yay!

The black seeds album has been out for awhile, maybe thats how they escaped nomination...

Good to see some more categories there, but for my money the bfm awards are still the most onto-it, in terms of variety and quality..

last year the tuis were a stilted affair - dinner seemed a bit too formal for the occassion so it was a lot nicer havin drinks n nibbles while hearin a dj play perty house choons - the format was a helluva lot betta

yeah bro i'm def down for the bfm awards - had them arranged late last year and put dibs down for tickeys at work and they're coming thru .... yayyyy!

now that is ONE night I am definitely lookin forward to!

.... and i woulda thought that the Black Seeds remix album could have been nominated at the very least .....

always room for improvement, i say!

great show though ... had a much better time this year!
