Aiight. After checkin out the Welly Crew at Studio Nine for Klute, I feel I have to give special bigups to the one like Antic.

Never met the man, but I honestly have to say that his mic skills totally amazed me. Most of the mc's I've heard (both in NZ & UK) don't come close. He's got a good style, knows when to shut up (knows the tunes, YAY!), clearly enjoys himself during his time in the booth (dances like a madman when not chatting), and I'm sure I didn't hear him repeat too many lyrics... The other guy who was on (mana?) wasn't *as* good (got a bit sick of the natty dread chat) but still kept it runnin. Bigups deserved to ya both.

Get yourselves over to the UK and show em how to do it proper like....

Nuff rasspeck

manas done a sudden dissapearing act, dunno he was but it was infact Tiki/Rizla that was alonside the antic, different styles but both quite capable on the mics, antic was blowing up shit in Aussie and tis very good to have him back Smile
[quote]
YEH big upz the antic and the rizla for runnin tings on da mic on friday night
[quote]
I need to hear quality NZ MC's..I've only heard MC Green.

*cough*

Still trying to get over that one.

Big upz Antic!!!!!!!!
It's good to see such a primer amper back where he belongs. When we gonna see him next?
[quote]
MC Green... hmmmm theres someone who doesn't even deserve to call himself an MC.....

Mana and CJ are MCing at my mates 21st this weekend...
[quote]
Ive only heard her MC once, but MC Tahlie (not sure
if i spelt that right) is the proud person who gets
my "Worst Night MC-ing" award. She MC'ed for Bryan
Gee when he played at summer soulstice in
christchurch last year, and she said "Bry-ann Gee" a
good 30 + times ... it really put a downer on the
set a bit.
[quote]
Yeah but she can really sing - I hear she's doing
really well in the UK - go kiwi girl....
[quote]
rizla (tiki) vs mc mana - on the dancefloor at
UNITY rocked.....they both have uncanny ability
to MC through many genres of music.....tiki
MCing breakbeat and progressive house
rocks...
They'll both be out and about this UNITY
(thursday) and have no doubt they'll be amping
everyone....eighties pop songs and all...yeah
[quote]
I agree with you jamsed about the Summer Soulstice/Bryan Gee/Talie thing. She's still a wikkid MC tho . . . can't wait to hear what she's done with Full Cycle.
[quote]
mana is da good.
[quote]
Zong et al; Check www.dnbmassive.com/dubplates.php and check for the Talie tune... its a gwaahnin ting n all, seen.

Still Maintain that Antic rox0red... GQ is my fav internatty tho... who's your fav internatty mc? Skibba seems in high regard by many...

----------------------------------------------------Yeh but come on. Any MC would say the DJ's name that was playing atleast that many times from what i remember BryanGee played till like 7am anyway.

Best intl MC=

3. MC GQ
2. MC JUSTYC
1. MC SHABBA

[quote]
garage mc's VS dnb mcs..all roundeness. im talking bout singin ability as well..Apart from GQ
doesnt garage generally win?
[quote]
Yeah mikey but most of the garage guys used to be dnb mcs, different styles denotes different skills. I heard true playaz posse with mcs and my sox were blown off.
[quote]
Rymetyme is my current fav though I like Justyc & GQ as well. I saw Shabba at Movement and was not impressed, although lots of people love him over here - different strokes I guess.

I think Mana needs to sort the drug debts before he can take full control again..
Antic is the man, nu respect, good to see him representing with BF again
