NZ MC's

Aiight. After checkin out the Welly Crew at Studio Nine for Klute, I feel I have to give special bigups to the one like Antic.

Never met the man, but I honestly have to say that his mic skills totally amazed me. Most of the mc's I've heard (both in NZ & UK) don't come close. He's got a good style, knows when to shut up (knows the tunes, YAY!), clearly enjoys himself during his time in the booth (dances like a madman when not chatting), and I'm sure I didn't hear him repeat too many lyrics... The other guy who was on (mana?) wasn't *as* good (got a bit sick of the natty dread chat) but still kept it runnin. Bigups deserved to ya both.

Get yourselves over to the UK and show em how to do it proper like....

manas done a sudden dissapearing act, dunno he was but it was infact Tiki/Rizla that was alonside the antic, different styles but both quite capable on the mics, antic was blowing up shit in Aussie and tis very good to have him back

Gee when he played at summer soulstice in
christchurch last year, and she said "Bry-ann Gee" a
good 30 + times ... it really put a downer on the
set a bit.

Yeah but she can really sing - I hear she's doing
really well in the UK - go kiwi girl....

UNITY rocked.....they both have uncanny ability
to MC through many genres of music.....tiki
MCing breakbeat and progressive house
rocks...
They'll both be out and about this UNITY
(thursday) and have no doubt they'll be amping
everyone....eighties pop songs and all...yeah

I agree with you jamsed about the Summer Soulstice/Bryan Gee/Talie thing. She's still a wikkid MC tho . . . can't wait to hear what she's done with Full Cycle.

----------------------------------------------------Yeh but come on. Any MC would say the DJ's name that was playing atleast that many times from what i remember BryanGee played till like 7am anyway.

Yeah mikey but most of the garage guys used to be dnb mcs, different styles denotes different skills. I heard true playaz posse with mcs and my sox were blown off.

Rymetyme is my current fav though I like Justyc & GQ as well. I saw Shabba at Movement and was not impressed, although lots of people love him over here - different strokes I guess.

I think Mana needs to sort the drug debts before he can take full control again..
