The Tesla Motors guys are unveiling their electric supercar tonight in Santa Monica.

The guy from Wrightspeed was initially a partner in the Tesla venture but split to do Wrightspeed.

The Telsa has about a 250 mile range and does 0-60 in 4.1s.

It will be interesting to see how it is received.

I wouldn't call it a super car. Super acceleration but that's about it. Still its good that these sort of cars are being made.

Exactly... it's not exactly a road car which you can go on a long trip in, with another person, and in all weather.

A 1/4 mile burn-off usually shows which vehicle is lighter relative to it's tyre contact patch. A consumer car, even a Ferrari, cannot compete with a one-off purpose built car. There is not much point in comparing them that way.
