2002 was a big year at FU, and a big year in the world of urban underground dance sounds, hence we wanted to bring a night for this New Years Eve that reflects the great array of sounds that were on offer over the past year.
This New Years party has been formulated around all local talent so you will have a night to remember, with an entry price that wont break the bank.
We have organized a lineup to maximize your listening and dancing pleasure, featuring the finest selctors in the realms of Hip Hop, Drum and Bass, Breaks, Techno and House, to keep you partying right through till 10 am.
We have three zones of entertainment this year. A highlight this year is acquiring the 'Major Flavours showcase' for the bill, the showcase will be held in FU and will feature a marathon 4 hour set of 'the best of 2002' selections by DJ's Sir Vere and Ali, accompanied by a select array of MC's. The showcase will also feature DJ Manchoo (2002 ITF champion) and Mouli. Guest MC's for the showcase will be announced over the following weeks.
The Amen drum and bass room features the creme of local drum and bass DJ's Riddle, 48 Sonic, Phantom, Nick D and Motion, alongside the emerging talent of K Logic and Mr Secret. The best drum and bass lineup on offer anywhere in the city.
And our final zone, the Pils Lounge, is a mish mash of differing genres: Techno, breaks, house, Hip Hop.... and whatever else the versatile lineup of Simon Flower, Silverbeat, Radley, Darin King and Chaye D decide to lay down on the night.
As you can see, the lineup offers something to all connoisseurs of true urban sounds.
