Hi All,

I have connected my tv to my pc via a s-video connector, plugged into the av-in on the tv. But i get no picture on the tv at all.

I have set my display properties correctly and am pretty sure now that it is an issue with the card itself because before this i had an ati radeon card in this machine and i could output to tv from this pc no problems. However after my upgrade i cant.

Catch is that if i go to the nvidia control panel it detects that there is a tv connected although it is labelled "generic Non-PnP tv". However if i go through the windows display properties i get told that there is no device connected.

I have read somewhere that nvidia cards unlike radeon cards require a power load on the svideo cable before they will output to the device at the other end. If there is no power load connected from the tv at the other end it does not connect. I think the load mentioned was around 7.5 or was it 75ohm....unsure??? any help would be super.....chur!

Basic computer - Win Vista, 1TB, 8GB, Nvidia9500gt...

Not sure what you're meaning with the power loads, I've got a TV hooked up to my PC using an Nvidia card and S-Video and it works fine.

Check you're not mirroring your desktops, better to set them as side by side if your TV/Monitor are different resolutions, which I assume they are. Also, what actually shows on the TV when you have it turned on and plugged in to the S-Video?
