also..............if I remember correctly, the ball was looking like it might go dead until it sat up giving Meli very little time to get himself back into play

For the record ...............I rate Justin Murphy a better winger than Faafili

Mander normally has an alright game or an out & out shocker Shocked

he loses it under pressure, would rather have had harrigan

The Maestro Justin Murphy can be pretty suspect on defence though. He has a habit of coming in and leaving his man. At least that's what he was doing last time I saw him play.

Can you honestly say Fa'afilli does not do this as well.

I'm not saying I rate Justin Murphy ahead of Henry, but I do not rate Henry much either, he is good in the air, and fast, but is poor defensively, and wastes our tackle count when in our half.

On the positive side I believe Vinnie Anderson is becoming a very good centre, and when we can get him a class winger we shall see him come into his own, just look at his combination with Logan Swann, shame this pair will not have the opportunity to develop with Swann's absense next year.

Fa'afili had a decent game on friday..Canberra showed up alright..that was the toughest game defensively all year..they stacked their right hand side to counter Meli and Toopi. So what little opportunity the Warriors had they attacked right thru Swann and Fa'afili...with a surprise switch to the left for Toopi to score...the Panthers play similar to our boys BUT experience is vital...this should see the Warriors thru to the Grand Final................to meet the Roosters Cool ..

28-20 owned. Warriors didnt play to their full potential imo. Fitler and his boys have it next week.

Upsetting, dissapointing end. Roosters should take it next week, they are just on another level, they are so proffesional and clinical. Craig Wing will have a huge game with numerous 40-20's as the Panthers defense will not be in his face enough, there will be plenty of dummy half runs and Penrith will not cope.

Like many people have said the only people that could take the Roosters out were the Warriors, and now... they cannot.

Big ups to the boys on a rollercoaster season, and bring on 2004!!!!

I think many people don't give the panthers the credit they deserve, they were minor premiers, beat the warriors 4 games to 0 this year

great coach, some class players, two top kiwi second rowers

sadly the warriors dream has ended, the boy's looked tried after a bruising game last week, & they blew to many chances.......

next year could be the one
[quote]
true...good on the panthers...canberra did penrith a favour by bashing our forwards last week....better losing yesterday than in the grand final again...roosters looked too strong for the bulldogs and should smash the panthers on sunday........but i'm supportin' the samoan secondrowers who play for penrith, live in australia and represent the new zealand kiwis... Cool

Good on the Woweeas.

Didnt the worlds greatest winger have a BLINDER.

Mr. Green

You need a good supply of ball and you need your forwards to be getting decent go forward if you want your wingers to be able to perform.

Which game was that bspendy, I don't know who is the greatest winger in the world, but he certainly wasn't playing on sunday.

The warriors just didn't look there mentally, the spark was lacking most of the game. Penrith fully deserved the win, but will lose the final comfortably.

Who out there agrees that Costo and the boys are a shit commentary team when it comes to big games?...even prime gets the Ray Warren and co calling the game....they suck Crying or Very sad

Rabs is the greatest.
Do you need a constant supply of ball to be able to catch it????
I thought you just needed a brain and some skill.
Meli has not much of either.
[quote]
warriors were simply outclassed... also i see stacey jones had a shite game but nobody has said anything about it... no need to abuse meli - sure he had a shit game, but he wasn't the only one.

too narrow and certainly not enough pace on attack - relied too much on individual flair and were "out teamed" by a much better unit...

personally i can't see enough credit being given to this panthers outfit... apparently you guys haven't watched many of their games...

finishing minor premiers is no fluke i assure you... they have class right accross the paddock...

wesser is the leading try scorer, gower is the best halfback in the game with johns out - and has kicked more than twice the amount of 40-20's as that showpony loser craig wing.

preston campbell the pocket rocket at stand off, and girdler the world's best centre returning to fine form against us... the guy has wheels to burn and has so much class its almost blinding...

huge wingers lewis and rooney that are awesome in the air and menacing on both attack and defence...

and then there is their forward pack. galuvao and puletua DOING THE DAMAGE all year in the NRL - putting most other forwards in the game to shame... with them ranging wide they'll be sure to push the roosters' little men out wide - just as they did to us... and with martin lang the psycho in their midst they are a very real danger this coming weekend.

i'm going against the grain and picking penrith this weekend... mainly because i despise the roosters almost as much as the broncos - and since they beat us last year...

the lads from penrith deserve the premiership and they certainly have the talent to do it...

total shockers these lot, I'd rather listen to the one sided aussies from channel 9 any day, hopefully we'll get them back for the final

Totally agree. Didnt they come last year as well?? Pretty amazing turn around.
[quote]
Im rooting for the Panthers in the big one, theyre awesome and I think they should put the roosters away....
[quote]
i'd just like to say - well done to myslef for picking the GF...

not too many people backing the panthers but i knew they had it in the bag. plus i hate the roosters... hehe...

surprisingly though it was priddis and sattler that got them through in the end, with a great last 20 minutes from tony puletua also...
sattler definitely man of the match for mine, with some phenomenal defence, the tackle on todd byrne was sublime, but there were many other instances too...

fantastic game of football to cap of an even more amazing season of rugby league... the warriors may not have won, but for me this was the next best result... the panthers were simply destined for this victory like they were 12 years ago...

well, see ya next winter for another great season in the tightest competition in the world. its time for some cricket...

Very HappyVery Happy
[quote]
Was very pleased to see the panthers get up for it. That tackle by Sattler was the turning point of the match. I thought he had no chance but he showed the rest of the team the determination needed when they were starting to look like the roosters were going to run all over them.
[quote]
wooohoooo go the panthers Smile love it...
[quote]
didnt watch it, but glad the panthers won, i also hate the roosters...

im still waiting for the day we have a Manly vs Warriors grand final...that would be grand Very Happy

good to see the Panthers win Mr. Green Mr. Green

but it's about time they change the final back to a day game, I fell asleep at half time after a hard weekend Crying or Very sad
[quote]
what a bone -crunching final

good on the panthers for delivering a faultless season and being rewarded with the clive churchil trophy

our warriors can feel proud for pushing the panthers far more than the roosters did last night.

sublime effort by sattler to mow down byrne
[quote]
Pleased that the Panthers did it although it was a tough encounter.
[quote]
good on the panthers for winning, their def was what won it for them in the end i reckon
