More on the rumour front, apparently the old mans friend in the Warriors has told him that Manu has already been offered an $800 000 a season offer to play rugby union. That's real money! If the Warriors let him go they'll be kicking themselves for a long time...

Anyone watch the Juniors? What a game! Knights up 20-0 after 60 minutes, then in the space of 20 minutes, 6 tries are scored, 1 more to the Knights and 5 to us, the Juniors winning 28-26. Unbelievable.

There are some great talented players coming through our system. This bodes well for the future if we manage them right...

Was a great watch on friday night to see us put the Broncs to the sword. They were woeful and deserved to be smited hard. I can't see us doing tooooo much in the top 8. If we squeeze off a win I'll be happy. Just making the top 8 is a real victory for the squad. We were so terrible last year, it's great to see Ivan do such a great job in rebuilding the team. I have a theory that the relatively innocuous change to the coaching staff preseason in swappping Tony Iro and Jon Ackland around actually had a real effect. Reason being that we have a real young team with lots of young players coming through the farm and nobody knows them better than Iro who has been coaching them in the U/20's for the last 3 years. His knowledge of the young dudes plus their familiarity with him would be a hige factor in allowing them to settle and play well in the top level. The U/20's revival will be the best thing that ever happened to the Warriors, you watch. Now if they could just bring back reserve grade so we can keep developing them once they get over the age of 20!

I'd be very surprised if that many juniors make the grade, not that I know about these players but statistically that many juniors being good enough would be once in a lifetime golden generation. So fingers crossed that you're right about them.

Edit: By making the grade I mean being good enough to hold down a first grade place for the majority of the their career, not half a season to a season before disappearing back into obscurity.

Have you seen this Juniors team play? They are a seriously talented squad. They won't all play for the warriors, Likiliki is already gone, signed by Newcastle.

I would definitely wager that all these kids will eventually make it to the top grade for a team somewhere.

But for all that, I predict a Titans V Dragons final.

Gotta say Neil, Benji looked fucking good and the team looks really well drilled. You gotta worry about that fade in the last 20mins though. Ask any Kiwi player about the perils of only competing for 60mins.

He's like the super hot girl you score when drunk and half fall in love with before realising shes actually a complete fruit loop

CGW put it best Maestro, he's an angry coach and when angry coaches aren't winning the players rebel and Anderson doesn't have the pedigree to surivive a player revolt (you need to win a title at least to be in that position). In his last season with the Warriors his relationship with the players was compared to John Monie, which is basically rock bottom.

In an update to this list: We know that Likiliki is off to the Knights, well Elijah Niko has been signed by the Storm and Mark Ioane has now been signed to Canberra. Nafe Siluini, Johnson, Henry, Fisisiahi are all on the Warriors books and soon they will add another: Sebastine Ikahihifo. After the last few weeks, this guy has been on fire!! he was definitely the man of the match last week. My prediction of this list all becoming first graders is getting closer Jono.

Strange lack of hype in this particular forum but there's been loads of talk for me elsewhere, this has been an awesome finals series!

Pretty much echo the sentiments above - Roosters are my traditionally most hated team, but the Kiwi contingent is ripping up, and led by the bad-boy Todd Carney (and Mitchell Pierce) in the halves they're playing a tough, entertaining brand of footy. Still a few fags in the team like Braith Anasta and Minichello but they're not as bad the as the Ricky Stuart/Brad Fittler era chooks of old. The rags-to-riches story would be encouraging for the NRL too.

St George, well they're still playing the more boring defence-oriented game that's earnt them the minor premiership, but I'm a big fan of Wayne Bennett and wouldn't mind seeing him pick up his 7th "ring". It will be intriguing to watch how they play offence in the grand final. The Roosters will take heart from the Tigers rush defence that nullified the Darius Boyd-Brett Morris left-hand attack but I'm sure they have something up their sleeve.

Dalai, I've been reading that Seluini has signed a 2 year contract with Penrith. I'd be gutted to lose him, but I think the absolute keepers from this years crop are Glen Fishiahi, Sebastine Ikahihifo, and Sam Lousi. Sam's length could make him great if he can harness his potential.

Still well done to the Dragons, did well to hold until half time when they were on the ropes and then turned it around well. Roosters should've been ahead by 10-12 at half time and paid the price for it.

St George were never "on the ropes" they pretty much just played the same 2nd-half oriented game-plan they have played so well all year. They didn't conceed a single point in any of the 2nd halves in their finals series!!

Roosters had nothing, as for the Kiwi players it was the Saints ones who stole the show - Nathan Fien, Jeremy Smith and Nightingale.

The Dragons were always going to win the wet.

Their style of play can hold up in the wet and the Roosters have to change their style to be able to handle the wet.

Braith Anasta is my most hated player in rugby league. I would be extremely torn if he joined the Warriors squad. It has nothing to do with him being a COCKroach and everything to do with him being a plain old COCK.
