Press release follows:

New Years Eve

Drum ‘n’ Bass & Dubstep Party

Haruru Falls, Bay Of Islands

FuZen Entertainment is proud to present Northern Bass – a Bay of Islands New Years Eve party taking Dubstep and Drum ’n’ Bass outdoors for a breath of fresh air.

The outdoor day-night party located on a farm property near Paihia’s Haruru Falls will be a mix of the best local and international Drum ‘n’ Bass and Dubstep DJs.

Northern Bass will be a fully self-contained and licensed R18 event complete with camping facilities. It will provide the Bay of Islands, the wider Northland and the seasonal influx of visitors with a much sought-after New Years Eve music festival.

FuZen Entertainment is one of New Zealand’s most experienced and respected dance party promoters, specialising in Drum ‘n’ Bass and Dubstep parties.

Dubstep has taken New Zealand by storm in recent years. Its overwhelming bass lines, reverberant drum patterns, clipped samples and occasional vocals draw on many influences such as dub, reggae, drum n bass, jungle, UK garage, grime and techno.

Drum ‘n’ Bass, now the older uncle of dance music, originated from the early 1990s rave scene, and is characterised by fast breakbeats, heavy bass and sub-bass lines.

Northern Bass will be the first time in years that thousands of locals and visitors to the Bay of Islands will have the chance to see in the New Year with a significant music event. It will also fill a void in the New Years Eve market by finally providing Drum ‘n’ Bass and Dubstep fans with a dedicated festival.

The Northern Bass lineup is due to be announced soon and early-bird tickets will go on sale from TUESDAY 2nd AUGUST through Iticket. Pre-register to buy very limited $69+bf early bird tickets http://www.iticket.co.nz/waitlist/ from 9am Mon 1st August.
