BLACKPLANET
Blackplanet are Analog and K Lab two souls linked by a love of
breaks,samples,synthesizers and ground shaking bass. Fusing the
soul with the heavy, blackplanet uprock the bass drop in a
maelstrom of live drum & bass. Influenced by the history, the hype
and the realness of brokenbeat music Blackplanet deliver a live
show unlike any other. Sampling the past, creating the future and
electrifying the visceral now.
The last two years has seen them go from hometown heroes to
playing alongside many of the finest artists in Aotearoa and from
overseas such as Shapeshifter, Tiki, Klute, A-Sides, T-power, Salmonella dub,
Concord dawn, State of mind, Black sun empire, The Upbeats, Pitch black, Digital, Bulletproof
and many more. As their studio work has started to see the light of
day, their tunes have begun to get noticed from the Netherlands to
Auckland. This year will see multiple releases for different labels
and a concept EP distributed. Their live show though is still the
main focus and where Blackplanet are out there pushing their sound
to it's absolute limit. Amen brothers!
