nissan cefiro - warning light

i've got a 96 nissan cefiro and being an import i don't have the manual for it. but I have a light that has just appeared on the dashboard - it's the (hand)brake light and is on constantly. The brakes are working OK and i have no idea what might be wrong? can anyone help

Prolly just a wiring malfunction

sounds like a loose or dickey hand brake wire (as long as the handbrake is down etc and it drives fine)

A light stays on until your seat belt is done up indicating the air bag won't work, but I'm assuming that's not it.
