Just had a listen to NikkiSixx's CD (produced by Mr PhunkyDave) and i like it look forward to hearing her play sometime (anyone know where when?).

Well you guys missed a good one then. Nikki played at our first zebedee party Total Mayhem. She absolutely rocks. Best you guys keep an eye out for zebedee #4 which will be coming your way in December for a chance to see her crank her stuff live. She is awesome.

Yup, I recorded it in one take so you can expect her live mixing to sound just as tight!.. and tight it is!

I'll get around to doing my own sometime soon.. The live one might be the go.. I'd better think what I want my Dj name to be.. but might just default it to my real name. Might try associative branding like Steve Hill / Mr Bishi / Phlash, and shit hes got more too.. One name for Hardhouse, another name for House. Ack.. I'm sure it will come to me like a slap in the face one night.. I suppose Phunky isn't THAT bad.. its slightly lame and tacky, but thats on purpose. I suppose its original.

When I was Djing not so long ago, someone who has no idea whatsoever came up to me and said just one word.. 'Phunky' well, they couldda said 'Funky' , I was thinking.. 'You dunno how suiting that is'.. hahaha

Dont suppose theres a track listing for llamas like me who dont know the names? I still love the insomniac track.

I couldn't make the bar-b-que, and I'm also not the person to ask about the CD since its not mine... However, I will check it out, and I'd have no problem with burning a copy... but, I'm not in Auckland for 2 and a bit weeks.. if ya can wait.. remind me.

Another good local Hardhouse CD is Cracker - Dawn (a little bit softer/ is Dawn still going at staircase?) and a new one hes done called Salt.

Apparently Thistle has done a cd too tho i havent heard it.

Nikki rocks. Get your hands on this CD as soon as you can. Awesome tunes, Can't wait to hear her out live again.
