Just watching ep 1 of Lost season 6 now,

i love this show.
[quote]
1) Blue Mountain State.
2) New series of Breaking Bad started last night/tonight

Also, if you like any kind of trashy reality TV show - I recommend The Jersey Shore. Fucking classic, epic and tragic all at once.

Laughing

lol, have seen snippets of Jersey Shore in 'The Soup' -- tragic seems like a good description! REAL LIFE GUIDOS! Very Happy

Will google Blue Mountain State

BMS is insanely gross and funny.

Think Van Wilder meets American Pie meets Friday Night Lights. Will probably never air on NZ tv IMO.

Do you watch Breaking Bad bro?

Confused

[quote]
Haven't really watched Breaking Bad -- might get that on the d/l some time soon (or see if mr kris_b is free some time this week for me to drop in to rape some of his media Very Happy )
[quote]
Do it. Def one of the best shows on TV. Rivals other such awesome dramas as Dexter and The Wire IMO.

Although I'm only 5 eps in on S1 of the Wire... Heh.

Very Happy

watched season 1 of jersey shore yesterday, holy LOL it's awesome. The situation is so awesome :> Calling the ugly girl a 'grenade' and then when some fat girl was wanting to go/feeling sick the first thing he says is 'are you ok hunny? do you want some food?' so bad yet so awesome haha

[quote]
+1 for breaking bad such an amazing show
[quote]
I've been addicted to Big Bang Theory recently :> Have you seen that gummi? A lot of people think it's lame, but I think it's written pretty well... and as a science geek you might get even more of the jokes than I do heh.

Also loving the latest season of COPS - epic white trash :>

Other than that, I'm watching 90210, which is going from strength to strength tbh haha. And then all the usual cartoons and House / The Office etc...

Will forgive you for this since you're only part way through S1, but for correction's sake: nothing even comes close right now Razz

The full epic (in the real sense of the word - not the overplayed internet use) nature of The Wire only comes more apparent after the first season really. When it branches out into other parts of the Ballmer society.

I like Big Bang Theory too. Sheldon is hilarious. :>

BMS is hillarious ...

Yeah the show obviously is completely riding on Sheldon a lot of the time, he's definitely funny enough to carry it though. I love the dynamic between Penny and Sheldon so much. The nature of the characters is pretty convenient for the writers actually - it allows Sheldon to be a complete asshole to Penny, and yet she still has to kinda be nice to him because he doesn't understand what he's doing wrong :> Makes for some pretty awesome sledging that's also quite realistic heh.

Leonard's character renders that show utterly unwatchable at times.

Yeah, unfortunately true :/ And not just his character either, but even the actor himself.
Really contrived mannerisms that just reek of high-school drama class so much.
I just ignore him as best I can now.

How To Make It In America has potential. It needs to speed up a bit though I think.

Anyone seen Bored to Death? Thought that was pretty awesome

Been around a while, was the bf in Rosanne

Oh shit, totally forgot about that show. Watched 2 or 3 eps and really liked it and then stopped for some reason.

Have tried watching big bang theory before and just couldn't find it funny at all. There's something about US sitcoms and their contrived dialogue and canned laughter that really rubs me the wrong way Razz

WIll check out BMS tonight Very Happy

Bad day?? Grumpy old Bastard Razz

not new but awesome - Drawn Together Very Happy
[quote]
I watched something on C4.. about some girls who want to find "love".... it's trashy and awesome Can't remember what it's called or what time or day it's on but you should check it out.

Very Happy

At the moment I look forward to the Amazing Race on Sunday.. and the Simpsons and that's about it.

Needs more Biggest Loser and that kind of stuff.

I agree, the last few shows have been pretty weak. Although I did like "damn, he's ghost ridin the jib!" Laughing
[quote]
I'm enjoying The Wire (thanks kris_b). Been watching it episode per night. I must say, I've never heard so much swearing in any american shows, ever! lol
[quote]
Cable rules.
[quote]
Not "new", but have you watched any of Big Love?

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0421030/

Bill Paxton as the exiled son of the former Prophet of a Mornon Polygamist sect/camp/cult, but living away from the compound trying to hid out in the real world with his 3 wives in their 3 ajoining houses.

Ethralling, entertaining, eye opening, and kinda distrubing...very well scripted and acted...season 4 just finished, but watch it from the begining else you won't have a clue WTF is going on.

Mucho stoked Season 5 has been green lighted by HBO Very Happy
[quote]
No one watching 'Flash Forward' yet? The Lost crew should be all over it like a fat kid on cake.

Modern Family = Awesome.

Archer = Awesome.

Eastbound & Down = Also pretty awesome.

Community = Take it or leave it.

Spartacus = wow is Lucy Lawless a total bitch in this or what? but yeah pretty sweet overall.
[quote]
Is there more Eastbound and down out?!?!?!?!!?!?!?!?!?!?!?

Forgot about this gem, very watchable. Ted Danson totally makes the show!

I wonder if there's more on the way soon?

Nah, I guess its not really that new so maybe it doesn't belong here but meh.

I actually completely wrote it off after the first episode but it seemed to get better with each show.
[quote]
I actually nearly cried in the last episode of Biggest Loser.

Heh.

I've spoken about Big Love here before. Incredibly well written, twisted storylines, well researched by all accounts. Whatever crazy stuff will Bill do next????? Laughing

Edit: That and even all the side characters are played by incredibly good, convincing actors.
[quote]
Big Love! Argh, stupid can't dl anymore so im missing all my programmes Sad
[quote]
Hanging out for that new, New Orleans based show from the guys behind The Wire. And The Pacific. Lost is tiding me over at the moment though Very Happy

heh, I've actually been quite enjoying it, I just treat it in my mind as a new show. The no-emotions girl is really funny.
