New prog bar in Auckland

I went into MIX on Krd last friday and they were playing some really nice music.
I asked if this was just tonight or if this was their music policy and they said it sure was.
So now all the disgruntelled (by the lack of a scene for us) Auckland prog fans have a nu hide out, wicked!!!

i went to MIX to see Austin Leeds and was well please, i will defenatly be going back.

What DJ's are gonna be playing there - up and coming prog dj's or any known already?

The last INfusion of last year listed Mix as having a night called "'Deepest Level' - Progressive Beats and Uplifting Trance with DJs...TOM, RISK, DAVE HOOK, PAULIO." Guess it's still the same?

never heard of those DJs unless it's DJ Tom from germany...? I think I've heard of Dave and Paulio...
What's the door charge?

whatever - Mix is a good club - Paul the guy who runs it is real nice as are his staff.

Havent been down there since the change. Must go check it out.

Okay here's the inside lowdown, since you're all starting to catch on anyway... There's gonna be a new progressive house night starting up soon at Mix called 'detour' (launch night planned for March 15th at this stage)... Details are still highly classified at the moment but rest assured if you live in Auckland and you're into *real* progressive house music you're not gonna be disappointed!! Stay tuned for some nice surprised in coming weeks...



PS. If you're heading up K'Rd, do check out the club, it's a great space, attitude free staff, and a friendly crowd... plus they're planning to do more work on the sound/ventilation/decor/etc in the next couple of months, it's gonna be one of the best spots in town b4 too long - go Mix!

plus phat breakbeat night including a big one coming up with one of the UKs most prominent producers / djs of recent times. will keep ya posted

Hello Prog people... MIX will be starting up a fresh new night on the 9th March called PROGRESS..
The line up for the 9th is Tom Ward, Tim Squier (from TURNMILLS UK ) and Rob Warner. Doors open at 10pm with a $10 cover or $8 if your a MIX MEMBER..

PROGRESS will Feature at MIX as a monthly event. Im also looking to give new PROG DJ`s a chance to play so call me 021 2425823 if you want a chance to be part of something special.

hey if you want a great d.j playing at mix try cracker he always rocks my boat, hes playing a spot at bed on sunday morning 4.30am check him out if you have time, if not e-mail me on shaysown@hotmail.com and I will organise a disc for you, garrenteed a good group of people everyweek if you have this guy in there.
p.s its a little dark in there, a tad more light in the place is called for, the staff there are primo, and the doorman Ruben I think is a happy friendly guy with no attitude except a positive one!
