New pricespy site

Kinda meh about it so far, pending further use

- Seems quite slow to me
- Looks prettier
- Way more search functionality, but a bit TOO much imo... it's kinda confusing and clunky.

Only had a quick look a couple of days ago, but my first impression was the design made it look less trustworthy, more like some crappy generic site you find on google trying to sell shit when you are looking for an answer to something.

Apparently lots of people don't like it. To the point where I heard a bunch of developers are making their own pricespy type site now.

I rarely use it so don't care that much, but the ajaxy fiter stuff, while nice, is way too slow and over complicated.

Ugghh.... I hate those. Like when you're thinking of buying a new piece of hardware and want to check reviews, and all you can find are people selling the shit.

But anyway, yea, came up a couple of weeks ago. I agree that it feels clunky and has too much info there.
The new owners (Swedish) have actually signed up to the Geekzone forums and are looking to get feedback.

having said that was my first impression, I've actually used it since, and I think it's pretty good hahaha....

Finding it a little difficult to sort through large amounts of info quickly if I don't filter it, like, it's harder to work out say, a sweet spot in pricing. Not sure if it's because I don't know how to use it properly yet or with all the extra fanciness has come that one limitation (I'm assuming it's me though). It's pretty flash.

I think if some of the extra features of basic search can draw you in you might be willing to learn the rest of what it has to offer.

They need to make a drug website for this.

Not so much for the price, but more to see who has stuff 'In Stock' :/

Just thought I would let you know about http://www.gearbot.co.nz

It has replaced pricespy for me. It pretty much does what the old pricespy does. Its still in development, so lacking in a few areas (only has 50 stores at the moment & needs a few more categories).

But yeah, still better than the new pricespy.
