Nathan Haines

I went and watched him and his band on the weekend, played some new stuff of a forth coming album.
I know he's studied jazz improv and all that, so I know how good he is. What I didnt know is how fucking amazing his brother is on the gat!! Nathan was noodling around on his clarinet and Joel (his bros name I think) was following him note for note, and then started playing a mindblowing counter melody!!. Now I normally cant stand when Mr Jonny improv comes along and starts jazz noodles, but fuck me!
He's seriously good.

the two brothers + dad were semi regular players at the london bar, good pints + jazz (not the perfect mix)

yeah, agree it is a bit of a yawn music wise, but.....wow.

Seeing them on Friday I think so good to hear muso types giving 'em props
