Well where do I start? This stroy is true and based on facts that did actually happen. Certain names may have been changed for obvious reasons. No part of of this story may be reproduced without prior permission from the author.

PART ONE

It all started back on the night of the 17th of November at Deep Hard 'N' Funky. I went with a large group of freinds - many who were first timers to the scene and were taking their first form of unnatrual enhancmenet products. I myslef am not a regular on these products but have be known to use them from time to time in certain circumstances. This particular night I had a larger amount than usual. By 1:30 when the biggie meet up took place I had consumed one tablet and some pretty big rails. Everything was feeling nice and chargy and was looking like a great night. A biggie who was unexpected arrived late and I left with 'it' to go and visit another mutual friend. WE traveled by motor vechile to see this person and stayed at this persons house for 2-3 hours. During this extened stay we consumed a large amount of a enhancer in its purest form. In the same venue I proceded to take a second tablet of enhancers. Upon leaving the mutual friends place I started to feel a little more racy than usual. WE arrived back at the magnigicent St James and as soon as I walked in the door I started to feel things go down hill. I went into the main room to give a person some stuff and by the time I got out I knew things werent looking up. I started to go in and out of co0nciensess and my heart started speeding. I was forgetting to breathe and losing feeling in my amrs and hands. I stayred to take my self outside but for some reaosn was able to remeber the ambulance on lorne st. I stagered outside ina really bad state and went startight into the ambulance. After a few questions I was given some injections to try get me back on track. My heart rate was 153 and had uncrontrolable twitches in my rams and legs. After the first set of procedures I was transferred to another ambulance and admitted to the ressusitation unit at Auckland Hospital. I was wheeled in in a wheel chair and placed in a drip. They ran numerous ECGs to trace the heart and kept close monitoring on me. After two hours of hospital I was released with blood tests shwoing an OD on MDMA, amphetimines and GHB. I had not taken the G myslef so my drink was obviously spiked. The water bottle I purcahsed over the did not have its saftey bits still connected and was completley loose. At the time I did not think of it but it seemes very dodgy. For the next three days I felt very hazy and washed out with the feeling in my hands and arms was like they were disconnected. By Wednesday I was feeling better............................................

PART TWO

Fast foward to Friday the 23rd of Novemeber. A night I had been amping up for a long time. Gatecrasher. I had a VIP pass and was ready for the night of my life. On doctors orders and my own belief I was going completey staright. Once again some people had not organised enhancers so I organised it for them. I went to a persons house to pick them up and 'it' offered me a smoke. Withoput really thinking of the implications it may have I agrred. After the smallest of smokes I set out - off to the car when some friends awaited. AS soon as I walked out the door I started to feel very rushy. My hands started to loose control and my heart rate increased. By the time I had got home (5 mins) my heart was racing and I was starting to slip into the same feeling from a week previous. A tried to lie down but was paranoid and starting to black out again. I awoke my older sister who was having a afternoon nap and we decided to go to A & E. Went down the the emergency department and was in a bad state. Went into a special unit and hasd needles placed in my arms and oxygen pupmed into my lngs. An ambulance was there in 5mins but no injections could be givwen to me to slow my heart rate (150BPM) cos there was no cardiologist. After 20mins there I was transfered my Ambulance to tye Emergensy Department at Auckland Hospital. At this stage my heart had calmed but it felt like I was till lapsing out of consciencness and losing control of my hands and arms. I went in and they did checks and ECGs but couldnt find anything other than elevated heart rate. I was released at about 5pm and went home to rest. I got out of bed at 10pm and went to a friends house before GC. I didnt drink any alcohol or caffinated drinks as I was still feeling shaky. I then mioved to a friends inner city place where everyone was leaving for GC. We went to the St James and I was feeling very shaky my heart arte jumped up again and I decided to go home and rest until 2am./ Well I gotr home and didnt sleep - nerves were flowing thru my body and my arms started to feel abd again - hence to say I didnt make it to GC!!!!

For the last three days I have been visiting mediacal centres and doctors to try and establish a diagnosis. None could be found and I still feel shaky and washed out today.

All i can say is that it was the most scary experince of my life. When ur lying in an Ambulnace at a level 2 status (level one is hwen ur dead and they try ressus you) you start to think twice abiout what your future, friends and parents. So all I have to say is please be careful when going out and taking things. I know I will never again and it will take me a month or so to get back up on my feet and out and about.

[quote]
I just want to say thanks to all the biggie people who have sent e-mails and texts - its heaps easire to go through something like this when you have friends. You know who you are!!!
[quote]

Cheers everyone.

Neil - you should see the needle mark now on my right arm. its about 8cam in leangth and 4cm wide.
[quote]
Shit! Be careful is all I can say.

I have a wee heart problem - (nothing too major) I'm not supposed to have anything that increases my heart rate - my heart races constantly, can be scary!
[quote]
and this is the reason why i havent taken drugs... the risk is too high Sad
[quote]
I think you need a mouse to cheer you up, if i see you on wednesday there will be one waiting for you...
[quote]
I sure wouldn't wish your experiences on anyone dr_beat. I hope you start to feel better soon.

I remember speaking to you about the possibility of a drink being spiked. I thought I might share with you that I bought a bottle of water at the St James at GC the other night that had not been sealed properly. I usually take the whole top of the bottle to drink from it and I was sure the bar person had not opened the whole top. Anyway, I asked for another one. I was given a bit of a strange look, but better safe than sorry.

It really makes me mad to think that there are people out there that would actually spike someones drink. Don't these people think of the possible consequences?
[quote]
Neil no it wont.... I have it! Can I meet u somewhere? He is in my car...
[quote]
hey man, sounds like your been thru hell and back. Get better soon aye Smile
[quote]
Ouch dude!

Pure = bad news.

[quote]
Hope things get better for ya, i've had some freaky times my self but not so bad. Look after yourselves ppl
Soulman-Agree totally and g=bad news
[quote]
I was at Kiss Friday before last - it was about 6am and I put my bottled water on the leaner post in front of where I was dancing... I saw someone pick it up and looked as if they were doing something to it.. I didnt drink it, I should have approached them or one of the staff but wasnt certain and wondered if maybe someone had just picked my drink up by mistake and was drinking it. Later that day a friend mentioned to me he thought he saw someone doing something with my drink and asked if I saw it or knew anything about it...... Im glad I didnt drink it but annoyed with myself for not reporting them to the bar staff or bouncers!

People like this need to be stopped.

If anyone sees someone tampering with drinks or even thinks they may have seen it - go tell the bouncers - they hate these people and will deal with them the way they should be dealt with!!

Its not worth the risk - better to be safe than sorry!

[quote]
I dunno Turtle, i rather like g... but at home, with my girl... and no booze!

But it is gonna be the summer of burn casualties...

[quote]
ok ok ok

i keep asking people at dance parties what g is,
and i get different answers. as far as i can get it
is GBH/GBL? also known as burn or fantasy? i
want to be sure so i can avoid it

is it expensive? why would anyone put it in
anyone elses drink, what is in it for the spiker?

the only people i have ever seen at parties not
having a good time are on g. someone told me
its like liquid E but it doesnt sound fun at all to
me

Spacecadet - burn is totally different.
[quote]
hehe, was that me spacey...

its pretty cheap... less then a pill for a decent amount. G as far as i know is GBH or GBL.

burn is pure speed. bad stuff
[quote]
Hey Beat, when you told me you went back to hospital on Fri I had no idea it was that bad. Man, some people desreve to be skined alive, slowly.
Hope you got my texts on Sat, but anyway get well soon.
[quote]
you too jass? i wasnt actually thinking of that
time.

come to think of it now ya did look pretty messy,
but mind you ive had better days myself so i was
hardly in a state to make an assessment.

still, why would anyone do it? surely its just a
waste of money to put drugs in a strangers
drink! is it like a date-rape thing? or are they
hoping to follow you round then rob you when
you collapse?
[quote]
I'd say that most of the time it is people picking up the wrong drink bottle or in Jill's case yeah it was a rape thing.

Not date-rape - that is totally different.
[quote]
Dude, hope you feel better and take it easy in the future!!
[quote]
[quote]
awwwww dude *sympathises*

stay off everything for a while eh, your body is obviously fucked!

[quote]
dr beat, you are an example of someone who COULD be dead, but are alive - and so you should be. U are an absolute sweetie and i hope u get back to normal soon as. i met you at dhf before you got sick and now know to check my water bottles when i buy them
hang in there babe, and get better soon!@
[quote]
Dam, after reading these posts I have decided to now go out clubbing dressed head to toe in a latex suit, with a breathing aparatus of some sort. At least then I'd be able to relax and have a good night.

Anyone with a condom factory intrested in a new business initiative?
[quote]
Beat - man, I feel so bad, seen as I was with you
so much of the time. I thought i was having a
bad week (took till thursday to feel right) but that
is just way too unfair. Going drinking last week
was a bad idea too. How are you feeling now?
getting better? Hope you are back on your feet
and partying soon dude.

[quote]
i know alot of people who have developed heart murmurs due to thrashing there poor bodies with numerous substances.
it is a sad situation really, when people choose drugs over health.
[quote]
SpaceCadet - GBH/GBL is a drug, in liquid form
that can be alot of fun. It can also be highly
dangerous and prone to abuse by people.
When used correctly (ie a ml or two) it provides
a nice feeling, sorta a mixture of
stoned/drunk/pilling. But when overdone it puts
you into deep sleep, the sort where you are
practically comatose. (Hence its use as a rapist
drug, a guy can pour a few ml into a drink, the
chick will pass out sooner or later.) G is also far
more potent when mixed with alcohol (ie the
person has been drinking) which means that it
is very easy for smeone to see some drinking
and drop a few drops into an open glass.
It is usually (always?) in liquid formso unless
pre-measured, it can be difficult to determine
dose, again the problem with people spiking
drinks, they aren't careful with it. I've seen
someone have her drink spiked (was with G or
K) and she was a mess, this guy kept hanging
around us while we tried to help her out and he
was asking if she was alright (he'd been
drinking/dancing with her.) We took her to A and
E and she was alright. I came so close to
smacking the guy, but there was no proof and I
would have lost my job.
Someone getting G'd out like Beat did isn't
always a case of some sick fuck tying to take
advantage of someone (although Jillyz sounds
it). A reasonable proportion of people will take
G, and it's easy to pour it into a drink bottle
(tastes like battery acid sometimes, so diluting it
is cool) and sip on it slowly. And its pretty easy
to pick up the wrong bottle at a party/club, and
there is not too much taste when its diluted.
The main attraction for people using G is that its
damn cheap -usually around $1 to $3 a ml.
you'd need a max of say 6 or 8 ml over a long
(and big) night and that is a cheap way to stay
reasonably twisted for a long time (but risky...)
Its got a bad name, only some of which is
deserved, but some of the people abusing need
a bullet.
Hope that cleared it up for you. Sorry for my
essay on your thread Beat. =o)
[quote]
Nah its all good. Better that people are educated. Yes Danjah I am an idiot and I did learn my lesson. Seems like you are a real sensitive guy. Got out of bed yesterday for the first time i three days which was good. Thanks all.
[quote]
Good to hear mate. We should go for a smoke to catch
up! (j/k, but if u r keen, give me a yell.... I think time out is
needed for you tho....)
Nothing too big coming up so a good time to get your
health back and catch up on some rest.
And yeah, Danjah seems really sensitive.... but we
already knew that.....
[quote]
Hahaha - yeah catch up would be good altho smoke is definitley a no go. What did craig say? Did he hear? Sanchez is on the 7th and I have a free ticket so I will attempt to get there.
[quote]
Definitely have time out till Sanchez. Craig didn't know till
chris was telling him sat morning after gc, how u had a
smoke with someone and freaked out. Craig was like
"really.... interesting...." and I looked at him with a "yeah
that was you" look. It was almost funny (but not in a sick
way.) he felt kinda bad.
[quote]
thanks graphite 'preciate the info
[quote]
Yeah nah he shouldnt feel bad - in no way was it his fault. Hahahaha - quite funny looing back on it.
[quote]
Bloody hell. You've either got too much cash.. an enormous credit limit or your wardrobe is suffering. Priorities..hmmmm? Now i sound like a mummy. 5 lines and 2 pills should do it most nights ..and i thought i was hard!
[quote]
Beat and I were somewhat blessed that night. Aside from
the enhancers at the venue, we had a very generous
benefactor providing things at our friends home. It was
my birthday and he wanted to make sure it was a big
one.....
His wardrobe is far from suffering, he has some very
stylie threads....
[quote]
I actually went shopping after id been to hospital cos i didnt want to go home so i was walking thru the chancery and down to high st in socks and a singlet with patches over my injections and dryed blood on me.
[quote]
That must have been a pretty sight!
We were at out friends place for 2 hours exactly Dr, left at
2 (I was straight as an arrown,) and returned at 4 (a very
bent arrow!)
[quote]
I was an arrown that was Flying at 100 km/h and then went of track and hit a tree.
[quote]
yeah I managed to maintain a pretty good trajectory until
about 3pm sunday, when I grabbed 2 hours sleep before
a family dinner. That was a struggle. But I felt like shit all
last week from it. You weren't the only one. Not that my
issues even start to compare to your ordeal.
[quote]
Different stories all together which I havnt actually caught up on completley. But if u look at ur story as a emotional ordeal and mine as a helth ordeal then they could line up pretty close.
[quote]
yeah, but remember that you would have had the
emotional ordeal as well as the health ordeal which
equals one big f*cking ordeal!!! just be happy that there's
light at the end of the tunnell and that you are on the way
back to party mode albeit in moderation now I hope!
[quote]
g is dirty... screwed up my night at Sample...

too much and its all over Sad
[quote]
Same as most drugs, just a finer balance. I
personally like the stuff myself, but can
understand people's issues with it. Its sorta
similar to Acid in the same respect
[quote]
i do g, its fun, but i cant help craving more. I K.O'd in the staircase toilets. Man it sucked

[quote]
graphite

whats your time keeping? 2 hours? 3 hours?
[quote]
Lately I have seen more and more people drinking from little baggies, it looks like G is becoming popular.
