Hey dont normally post here but i got my first car at 16,

its a 2litre v6 DOHC 24valve, Mazda MX6 manual Smile
only 55 buks to fill too, any comments on this car being known for certain problems or such things people might know about this car?

As with most V configuration six cylinder engines the rear bank of spark plugs are usually a cunt to change.
I back when I was 17 my first (2nd) car was a 93 MX-3 (or PressO) to the lamers. It had the baby version of your 2.5 V6.....a 1.8 V6 and I thought that was a dogs bollocks.
Might be a bit of a powerful car for a young fella but at least its front wheel drive

All you need is a turbo in the car.
good thing its a manual. i guess your 16.. so mx6 anit bad.

if your 18 + with a mx6 ud b thort of as a batty boy...

FWD too ew.
i guess your still in school?
save up for a couple of months/years and buy a manual skyline. u'll never go back Smile
[quote]
fuck that get a V8 ute.

better for burnouts and donuts.
[quote]
Yup still in school, mmmmmm skylines sound good Very Happy

how costly would it be to set the engine up for a turbo and then the cost of the actual turbo on top of that?

I would really like to blow my mates vr4 away we both have identical engines besides his is twin turbo.
[quote]
Don't bother doing anything to your ride, just use it until you can afford something that is turbo stock. It would be the biggest waste of $$$ turboing an MX6 IMO
[quote]
Bro before even thinking about hottin your car up, learn how to drive first.

<-- with them! seeen too many idiots crashing into poles and getting themselves killed cause they think they know how to drive the day they get in their 1st car. Get used to your car and comfortable first man Smile

On top of that, depending on what your after your looking at probably about $3000 to change the compression, mod the block n headers n everythin before u even look at adding on the cost of a turbo, frontmount, wastegate, exhaust flange, turbo timer, ecu upgrade, etc...not worthit.
I must say RWD absolutely owns FWD, once you try it you'll never go back but dont make the mistake I did of getting a RWD as your first car and deciding it would be fun to go sideways around roundabouts in the wet (r34 skyline) Rolling Eyes
[quote]
haha sweet as, as if a poor school boy like me would afford a turbo, just wanted to know about a turbo out of interest Smile
[quote]
I echo the learn to drive sentiments.

You might also grow out of being a boy racer by the time you can afford a turbo vehicle, which is probably a good thing Wink
[quote]
Lol Jeff I still remember that!!!
Fuck I thought Ali was going to cry hahaha, I cant even remember if he paid for it, maybe he did eventually...........But since then Ihave a rocky few years lol....
Anyways back to the car thing what you really need to do is buy one of these....

sif 'zilla.

Only R32 GT-R's onward are referred to as godzillas.

R30's were either 2000RS (FJ20E), RS Turbo (FJ20E-T) or RS TurboC (intercooled)
R31's were GT-S (RB20DET) or GTS-R Limited.

Fraid not big bwoy, the R30 was known as a Godzilla, albeit unofficially. And the 2000GT didnt have an FJ20, it held the 2L straight-6 RB20DET Pink Winky

6 sure.....but are you trying to tell me that's a DOHC head?

That's an L28ET that was introduced in the 280Z.
[quote]
I thought the R30/R31 RB engines were the RB30E and RB20E? As far as im aware the DE engines werent introduced until the R32 series?
