My Definition Of Trance - Volume 1 is the name of my latest Promo CD.

In their own ways people take different things from music no matter if its rock, pop or country.

In 2006 "Trance" has been given a major shake up and what we all previously knew as "trance" has changed, evolved and included a wider plentoria of new ideas and sounds.

It is an exciting time!

This mix CD is simply 80 minutes of what I define as trance in 2006. From the electro tinged, the euphoric monsters to the grimey tech trancers.

The only way you can get this CD at the moment is by grabbing one at Chemistry.

I will be handing them out sometime throughout the night so it is best to come and stalk me early in the evening and you'll be guaranteed a copy. It is only a small run.. so snooze you lose.

I have no plans in the next week or two to upload this mix.

- NO I won't put one aside for you.
- NO you cannot pick one up before Chemistry.
- NO i won't publish a tracklist online.

Thanks to Delegate for the mastering & also to everyone who is but a small salmon swimming up stream.

What songs of 2006 define "trance" for you?

i posted this on NZR, but i'll repost here...

yeah it's much different at the moment for sure!

some people have really blown up this year- sander van doorn and sean tyas spring to mind quickly. plus a further shift to the "electro trance" sound for ferry corsten... i'm really liking the gabriel and dresden stuff too- their album is awesome. more great stuff from john o'callaghan, guiseppe otavianni, and your boy fabio stein! plus even some great "fluffy" releases from the usual suspects- armin and above & beyond etc...

unfortunately i'm still fairly predictable though, i always get rolled over and have my belly scratched by tune with a sweet riff or big uplift in the breakdown and whatnot. still LOVE 'he's a pirate'!

Very Happy

Yeah, definite tune. A bit meh on either side of the monster in the middle, but badass all the same Very Happy

Richie Kayvan ('zillas other half) has done some wicked stuff too, like Absolute Control, although I dont know if thats quite up your alley, its a bit on the darker melodic side Smile
