My Building is Shaking!

9 storey apartment building... got the wobbles from this wind big time. Freaky!

Soooo, who's in a 20 storey today? Anything similar?

I'm on the 14th floor of my building, not shaking but the windows are moving in and out quite a bit.

What a crap arse day.. thank god I'm off to the Gold Coast on Sunday!

I Miss Wellington...

only on the 2nd floor thankfully, but the walk to work down Taranki St took an extra 10 mins due to head winds - 3 steps forward and 2 back.

I work on level 4, 40 Taranaki Street. Apparently the building next door is really unstable and the Police has evacuated everyone that sits on that side of our building, to the other side. A window has also blown out on this level. The Police are stopping anyone going down that side of the buidling.
The whole building is a bit shakey but would rather be here than at home in Ngaio where the wind is really bad.

I'm working from home and we live at the top of Maungaraki 220m above sea level, we are so exposed. The house was shaking this morning from the 140kmh+ winds....
