while in the middle of having a conversation with someone without an explanation.

Does anyone else think this is incredibly rude?
[quote]
YES I do.

I mean, would you just turn around and walk away if you were talking to someone IRL? No. Unless you were a twat, then you might. Mad

No. I don't think so if the person is in an office. People often aren't really meant to use MSN and if something happens like you get a call or the boss comes for talk - there is no time for explanations... (and you DON'T want messages popping up on your screen).

But then, my only MSN contacts are my friends, and I'm comfortable being rude with them, and know they won't take it the wrong way.

Not all of us have the luxury of no job pony Froggy p.s. my msn is nikolailestrange@hotmail.com - get in touch Very Happy

oh no, not if they're in an office. i kinda had the feeling that pony was talking about someone who isn't at work.

oh, and she has a job now Smile

Well would you look at that? Guess that was pretty rude of me then... I must think of pony as a friend, lucky girl Very Happy

Yeh, I have joined the land of the employed now TM. I'm working for my money now. (remember those ads on tv back home in nz) Laughing

I was refering to both cases, people at work and at home.

Maybe I'm too sensitive and reading to much into the situation, but personally if I have to go or dont want to talk to someone, I wont set my status to away or suddenly appear offline when I see them sign in.

I treat people the way I want to be treated, and I guess it hurts when people dont give back what you give them in terms of friendship.

But hey, karma and all that. Pink Winky

Absolutely! Mad

I find it more rude if they just set themselves on busy without saying what they're specifically doing
