Lover of all things broken beat, Dj Randomplay started out dj'ing in 2001 at Breakers Delight parties with A-Spark, Dave Page and Dj Loki. Since then peeps that have been nuts enough to have him onboard have included: Quality Breakers (run by Page 3), Analog/Malfunksion (Snitch), True Believers (Andy Vann), Sumo (Loki), Beat Freaks (Timmy Schumacher), Dirty, Breakdown (Rob Salmon), Ronin Breaks, Electro Truckers, Alpine Unity ’04, Splore ‘04, Resolution ’05, Summadayze ‘05 with Lee Coombes & Meat Katie, Deep Hard n’ Funky, and on the support bill for internationals Phil K(Aust), Nubreed (Aust), Tayo (UK), Aphrodite (UK), Defcon1(Aust) Mr C (UK), BLIM (UK), Stanton Warriors (UK), Dopamine(AUS), The Rogue Element (UK), Elite Force (UK), Aural Trash Summer Tour (NYE ’06) and regular nights at Fu Bar. Past projects include ‘The Kingsland Electro’ thursday nights at Korova Bar, featuring Randomplay and Demus plus an established weekly guest from the house/breaks/electro scene. 2004 saw the release of ‘The Kingsland Electro’ compilation CD, the brainchild of Demus and Randomplay. The CD featured 11 top breaks and electro tracks from the likes of Greg Churchill and Angela Fisken, Baitercell vs Scumacher, Antiform, A-Spark, Agent Alvin Vs Funk'n'slocuts and many more. The compilation was accompanied by a national tour in September ‘04 taking in 9 dates across the country, and another Kingsland Electro Tour taking in most of the top clubs in NZ across September and October 2005. Randomplay now hosts ‘The The Super Happy Lucky Club’, Friday nights 10-12am on George FM and regularly fills in for Page3 on the TAG show, Wednesdays 6-8pm on George. ..
