Mini ITX pc help

Im looking to get a media box...

just needs USB 2 and video out... with preferably a small ten gig hdd

what price would I be looking at... ask me for more info if you want

will need sound too of course... preferably digital out...

are mini-atx cheaper than atx? they are aye?... just 'cause I know you can get cool DVD-player-esk cases for atx

for a mini itx motherboard & 1ghz cpu with ur integrated sound,graphics and lan for about $230-300. alternatively you could buy a complete one with case and power supply etc for about $400-500

cupid case with 1 pci slot which has a wifi card in it - it was from procase but i cant see it there anymore. External psu's are best for small cases.

you cut back on the ram depending on the os you run and i use a dvd writer in a ice external drive for playing dvds if i need to (most use avis and mp3s)

i would just buy the media box complete. look at computer wholesalers. check out good ol pp.co.nz if you want some ideas. they are under the barebone section on there

we use a shuttle for Vjing - nice and portable - comes with carry case

The via epia MIIs are out soonish with cardbus and cf card reader on the back pane - with mine had that :/

theres some good remotes on ascent under accessories. ~$100

If your going to run freevo all you need is a movie network share, a 32meg boot cf card and a remote that does up down and spacebar.
