OVER THE ENTIRE BROWN ALLEY COMPLEX !

Darkbeat presents a next level lineup of divergent styles indicative of its wide ranging music policy. Throwing away the industry standard of the un-educated, and scene attracting crowd, Darkbeat returns to come correct.

Prepare for a night of rollin techno, and intelligent break beat & house as we present Slam (UK) , Fergie (UK) , Silicon Soul (UK), Kid Kenobi (AUS) and Skool Of Thought (UK).

DARKBEAT ROOM

Slam (UK)

SLAM need no introduction. 2009 has been one of their busiest periods ever. Performing dynamic sets at many of the world’s leading festivals including Monegros, Oxygen, Bestival, 10 days off, Extrema, Glastonbury and T In The Park, they have also played at some of the world’s best clubs including the legendary Womb In Tokyo, Cocoon in Frankfurt, Rex in Paris and Berlin's infamous Watergate and Berghain to name a few.

Fergie (UK)

Fergie (aka Robert Ferguson), a DJ of international standing for the past decade, has never had a stronger and more vibrant aural identity. Playing the kind of music he wants, determined not to be held back by perceptions and tags from the past, he continues to be a global representative for electronic music by consistently breaking down underground barriers and bringing new music to the people, without compromise.

Silicon Soul (UK)

Silicone Soul are Craig Morrison and Graeme Reedie. The pair were originally in the band Dead City Radio but later traded guitars for electronics, hooking up with Slam's Stuart McMillan and Orde Meikle, who signed them to Soma Records. The pair make everything fro deep house and tech house to progressive house and electronica. They are best known for the single 'Right On', which is one of the highest-selling singles from the Soma catalogue.

AGAINST THE GRAIN VS MIXED MESSAGES ROOM

Kid Kenobi (AUS)

Since his early beginnings behind the decks in 1996, Sydney based Kid Kenobi has steadily risen to his current place as the busiest DJ on Australian and International shores, and is best knowm and regarded as the one of the tightest DJ's with his upfront style of booming breaks, house, fidget and kick snare grooves.

Skool Of Thought (UK)

Living between the UK and Australia, Skool Of Thought is the owner and label manager behind the award winning Against The Grain & SuperCharged Music record labels - home to a resident night at one of the best clubs in the world - London's Fabric. He has been described by IDJ magazine as 'an underrated genius' and recognized by DJ magazine as helping form the 'nu skool breaks' scene.
