Pretty much what Shotta said.
Also. with any amount of popularity (city, bar, club, event etc) you get ppl who turn up simply because they think it is the "cool" thing to do. Not because they actually like what that city, venue etc has to offer.
They go there cos "more ppl are there so it must be good, right?"
And where there are ppl turning up for the wrong reason, there is trouble.
I feel this way about St Kilda at night.
Only go there for gigs at the Prince of Wales or the Palace occasionally.
Sometimes they have some good music in a smaller bar, but I don't own a checkered shirt and hate wearing sunglasses at night, so I don't go.
