Mazda SP20 4WD (2000)

Im looking at getting on of these like this > http://www.trademe.co.nz/Trade-Me-Motors/Cars/Mazda/auction-34477211.htm , does anyone have any experiance, good bad etc on these cars...

SP20's are a good car, bit old lady/shopping cart like but fine, can't imagine the 4wd being any different, its not like ur gonna go put a turbo on it and expect it to hold together

never knew they did 4wd ones.

Neither until I saw that, a mates old lady has a front wheel drive one and that goes good for what it is.

i've always kinda liked the styling on them. saw quite a nice one the other day, gunmetal, really nice rims, dropped a little, not riced to fuck.

mind, who knew they did 4wd camrys too. (well windoms, but same chassis)

yeah they actually dont look to bad when fattened up a little, I saw a couple of lightly modded photoshop'd pics and it looked quite good.

Didn't know about the 4wd Windoms either, I guess we just pay less attention when its not a performance car

hhehehe yeah. mind i'm a huge fan of sleepers so i tend to notice a bit.

hence why i'm keen on a u13 SSS attessa bluebird. 4wd sr20det power in a plain looking family car :>

did they make a turbo one of those? if so hahaha thats cool, funny as hell, would shock quite a few people off the line

basically a gti-r driveline in the bluebird body.

tidy ones seem to go for $6-7500 or so
saw one high mileage but well maintained example going for sub $3 a few months back. (i'm not bothered by high miles on a nissan http://www.biggie.co.nz/photos/pxt/detail.php?photo_id=5584 )

most u13 SSS's are fwd sr20de, you gotta seek out the attessa turbo versions. in theory, they have the same setup as a skyline WRT pulling front drive fuses too.

mate had one as a company car a few years back, said even in auto form it hauled ass.

of course, all the standard sr20det mods bolt on.

only a paltry flywheel 155kw but theres lots you could do with it, get it up to 206kw no worries, that'd be funny when your beting holdens thats are like 'WTF!'

oh yeah, fucking heaps of easy shit to do for power increases. i'm a huge sr20det fan boy.


mate of mine has the protocol the engine comm port uses, in theory he can write software that'll give r34 gtr style info screen setup. nifty.
