We have a winner. Details below from Steve Hill....

Hi everyone!

Just a quick note to say thanks to everyone who entered the DJ Competition. It's always great to see quality new talent coming thru the ranks from my home town of Wellington!

Overall all the entries were class which made the selection process very difficult! So make sure you keep practising on those wheels of steel for the next comp!

There can only be one winner...who is...HAGGLEMAN!

Quality House demo CD with good funk and latin overtones and a smidgen of electro thrown in. Good mixing and great progression. Congratulations!

Each of the following entrants will received double passes for their top notch efforts. The Matrix Crew will be in contact with you soon.

DJ ENDASH: Cool Breaks demo. I'm liking the Public Enemy rework! Nice building set and wicked BIG ROOM feel!

DJ SIMON: Hard House demo. Action packed from start to finish. Love the addition of classics like '9 Bar' for that familiar feel! I got my hoover out to that one!

JACS: Hard Dance demo. Up-for-it and uplifting. Again a couple of well chosen classics thrown in for good measure. Incisions 'Beyond Motion' - all class in my books! Solid mixing.

Thanks to all of you for taking the time to send in demos so I had some new CD's to play at Masif HQ!

Love the diversity of them all and the quality!

All the best

Steve Hill
