The beeb does have some cracker radio shows, i listen to about 6 or 7 each week without fail thanks to that iplayer thing. Giles Peterson, BenjiB, Bailey, Fab&Groov, the funk and soul show is ace also Dave Pierce does a sunday night classic dance show where he plays just about anything from the last 20 years of dance music.
