mash ups

is this frowned apon, kinda like in the pre-preparing a set thread.

e.g. creating a mashup, going in and out of a few songs but its all already mixed together. if you get my drift? the whole set wouldnt be mixed just maybe two songs with other samples throughout them, all mashed up...kinda hard to put this into words from what im thinking.

You're talking about producing your own bootleg mashup's? Say mashing some Steve Angello track with a Britney vocal, as a fucking dire example? Frowned upon only depending on what tracks you mash (and who is hearing them) and how well you mash them...can be fun, used sparingly

actually just got a x1 on tuesday! was meaning about pre-recording a mashup, but with a bit of practice on the x1 i think i will just be able to do it live. i have a mpd32 aswell that i might use for just the hot cues
