he was in touch with me a while back looking into the possibility of playing here next march while he is in australia. both fu and bamboo productions apparently did not return his emails, maybe though he didnt write them like he said he did.
as you probebly already know, sounds like you've been in touch with him, he is not asking big $$. still, its a bit of cash and possibly a gig that may break even....
i think he intends on doing a live PA show to tie in with a new record release. that leaves room for a good premotional angle too.
i checked out a bunch of his live sets and PA's. hes quite good and quite different from what most of us seem to be used to.
i would check him out for sure. with that amount of time to premote him its more than likely that some hype could be steamed up..
here are some links to some of his recent sets and live PA's:

Nice post Sander, always coming up with the online goods man

Are you still a member of that FTP based server?
[quote]
nikolia - sadly that ftp server (713tekno) has gone under due to excesive bandwidth costs. a shame realy because i used to upload my own mixes on it and then link them to my web site, i havent had to lay out for any web hosting till then and im still searching for other free hosting options, there are some others but they involve joining and voting etc - cant be assed with that.
they had a massive archieve of techno mixes there, they are trying to set up another one soon so ill let you know when they do. i havent found anything else as good as that server yet..
- got any ideas on sneaky free hosting? i keep getting busted when i upload to our work server... doh!!

hmm free bandwidth is pretty thin on the ground, the best I could probably do is running my PC as a server 24/7 or close to it. I am on Wellis Saturn service, I get a static IP, and 128kbps up. Could run guest accounts or something =)

Most of the hosting I know about has 1-2gb traffic caps. I have been using www.kiwihosting.net.nz , it only cost 75 nzd per year, which isn't the cheapest your going to get but theres heaps of support etc.

i did actually reply to his email saying that there probably wouldn't be the level of interest around for this type of event, although I said get me some more info when the time came to plan the tour, but I'd say unless a club got behind this the costs would out weigh the benifits!!

The benifits?????

Hhmm, well i see the benifits of this one being,an oppurtinity to provide something totally different than what is or what has been on show in the past...

A gig like this for the sums ive agreed upon is highly likely of breaking even...even if promoted in a small town.

but this is not something i wish to go into detail about so early and in a public forum..

if you have any ideas or concerns please email me.
