boooooooooooooya!!!!

my beloved Manchester United are going to be the winners of the prem league this season, when we beat spurs tomorrow (4-1) Arsenal will not be able to over take United on the points table after blowing a 2 goal lead to draw their game 2-2 this morning, that leaves united 2 points clear and all the games even Very Happy

Arsenals only chance now is IF United loose both their last 2 games, which will not happen Very Happy

*does a gig*

*glory glory man unitttttttttttttttttttted, glory glory man unittttttttttttttttttted*

That's terrible news. I can't stand Man united.

piss off ya liverpool nonce Laughing

Or maybe its that tosser of a manager Alex Fergusson who not only leaves his best player on the bench but kicks football boots into his head.
[quote]
They made the boot-throwing incident seem like a accident. Maybe Mr Ferguson had good aim...

Don't count your chickens before they hatch Zenith...But yeah Arsenal look like they may have blown their chances of winning the Premiership.
[quote]
i dont rate becks as untds best player, hes one of them, but isnt the best
[quote]
beckham is one of the most overrated players in the history of the game... i think of him as the 'spice girls' of football... hype hype hype.
[quote]
Man Utd won this morning 2-0 against spurs, thus giving them a 3 goal buffer on assenal including a 5point lead, utd have 1 game left, arsenal have 2,
[quote]
oops...

man utd have 2 games left - charlton and everton

and

Arsenal have 3 games left - leeds i think??, Sunderland, no idea on last match
[quote]
What the fuck was Fergusson thinking when he left Beckham on the bench for most of the game vs Real in that Champion's League quater final??? Beckham may be a fag, but he is one of the best football players out there. He comes on in the last 20mins and scores two goals, including a great free kick from outside the box.
Even thought United won 4-3, Real won on aggregate 6-5. Might have been a different story if there wasent ego trips in that team.
[quote]
yeap they are the leaders of the table now
[quote]
They still have to win the last 2 games to secure the trophy though. Hope they do.

that is generally the opinion of negative anti-media types... if you actually watch the guy play, he is fucken awesome, there is little denying it.

20 minutes against real and pinged in 2, its a shame the lads played so shit in the first leg...

i'm so glad the ARSE didn't win this year, good to see the boys back in their rightful place in the top spot...

glory glory man U

My grandad hated Sir Matt Busby tho,why ? because he played for City !! lol aye !!

as a supporter of Man U you get use to all the negetive things people say like 'your a glory hunter' and shit like that but Fuck them all I say !

YOUR ALL JELOUS COS YOUR TEAMS SUCK THE FAT ONE Laughing
[quote]
My reasons for supporting man utd are almost as good as yours maestro (although I wouldn't really classify myself as a supporter anymore I still like to see them win). The first FA cup final I was allowed to get up and watch was in 1977 and so I picked a team to support, luckily I chose the right one, or else I'd be a liverpool supporter. Laughing Laughing

grandparents are from manchester, hence why i follow united Smile

i also follow the kings and have done so since they started

free kicks & corners do not maketh the player... beckham is good i'll give you that but he certainly aint the god-like player he is made out to be, george best gave a good opinion on him and george best is the best football player englands ever had Smile

so true, I think Giggs is the one to watch right now, he is a skilled football player, love the team and yes I am from the city of Manchester, born in Stockport, cheshire.

This sums up why I don't support any team in english soccer any more. I hate the mentality of many english soccer fans. They are fanatics for a club rather than supporters of a club in the sport they love. I like the mentality towards sport in NZ better. Rugby fans generally like the sport first and the team second (forest excluded).

The other aspect is that being from NZ I don't have a local team to support as such.
[quote]
Man City, sweet as. Im not gona stoop to the level of mocking and critisising a person for who they support.

I can see how a city fan would hate United tho, when Old Trafford was bombed during the war and United played their home games @ Main Rd ??
they won more games there than City ever did Laughing
It must suck living in someone elses shaddow !

put it this way,if United win the league I'll be estatic,if they lose Im gutted for about 10 minutes then I get on with things.
[quote]
sounds like your embarassed cos ya support a crap team
[quote]
yeah Im embarrased cos my team is top of the table with 77 points and your team is doing waaaay better than us with .....wait for it 48 points !
[quote]
I enjoy watching man u play when they are on form but i don't like the fact that one team can dominate so much due to the amount of money they have.
[quote]
so you guys are wikkid cos you are the richest club in the world??

wow waaay to go

maybe you should include the fact that we are only just bak up this year after spending the last 5 years either being relegated or promoted, now thats and exciting recent record.

opposed to winning the league months out from another poohs team

either way i am jus winding ya up ya sad scum git
[quote]
yeah they have spent a lot of money on the likes of Veron,Van Nistlerooy,Ferdinand but look at the talent they have produced themselves

Beckham,Giggs,Scholes,Neville Bros,Butt.

people only think about all the stuff theyve won in the last decade but when Ferguson started there the club was in turmoil, battling relegation, drinking problems by important players all sorts of shit and he turned them around.

Arsenal & Chelsea are the teams that import the most talent.
[quote]
I know your only winding me up bud,Im not taking anything to heart, its all good !
[quote]
agrees with websta. man u = scum. end of story Moon
[quote]
there is only 1 reason to support scum

no not cos ya live in manchester, as most of the peeps in manc support city

its cos of the plane crash and the busby babes, any other reason is poohs
[quote]
fuck Ive never heard such garbage Laughing
[quote]
The only worse than scum winning the premiership is the facists winning la liga, and the only thing worse than that is either team winning the Champions League. What a shit year!

Arsenal have fucked it, scum have all the momentum.

On the plus side, someone had to lose in the scum vs. facists CL quarter final.
[quote]
lol jono. I can't believe the venom soccer fans have towards other teams. Doesn't exist in rugby to anywhere near the same extent.
[quote]
Its crazy, I love United but its the game of football thats the key here.

and how anyone can say that United are scum yet Arsenal are OK Confused

I cant figure that one out.
[quote]
of course you can't understand !!

your a scum supporter

i'm surprised you can read!
[quote]
haha this made for more interesting reading than i thought it would... tis very interesting that so many people hate united, yet they have just as little tie to the premier league as most of those off shore people who support united...

i mean we are way back here in NZ after all, even if you're from one of the aforementtioned cities, your hatred for other teams is ridiculous (unless its australia)...

and hating them because they're rich is another stoopid idea, how did they become rich? from grooming talent and winning, as well as a manger who may indeed be a cock, but he is a winner... and in football that means money - and lots of it...

i only support united coz my dad did when i was younger... some of you peeps need a reality check

Wink
[quote]
Im pretty sure websta is not very serious, in fact I bet he secretly watches United games Laughing
[quote]
richy don't swear at me!!!!!

admitably they doo have 2 decent players

solskjaer
giggs

the rest well i don't really need to say whats wrong with

the neville bros
nicky butt
silvestre
scholes'
ruud
keane
[quote]
OK smart ass whats wrong with Ruud van Nistlerooy ?

or Scholes ?

agreed the Nevilles arent fantastic and Keane is past his best by date.

I spose you hate Backham too ?
[quote]
How many Man U fans have always followed Man U and how many have taken to watching them because they are a good club that always seems to win? Its more fun backing winners than losers.

Just a question as I know none of you here are probably from Manchester. What got you interested in supporting Man U? Just curious.
[quote]
read the whole thread stylin, it should be in there but if not...

I support Man U cos my grandparents are from Manchester,Salford actualy which is right near Old Trafford.

when I was young my dad use to get me up early as in the morning and take me to my uncles place where we would all watch the FA cup,the whole family has always supported United.

thats my story anyways........... Smile
[quote]
Sweet Richy thanks. Thats a good reason to support them.
[quote]
Grandparents from manchester, also really started supporting them since i was around 10years old, when i went to a united vs liverpool game
[quote]
I bet Liverpool won 2-0 too didnt they Zenny? Smile

I had to go through all that "you only support them cos theyre winners" shit when Liverpool won everything in the 80's Mad as a result I developed a tick Wink

in the form of a second allegance to an unfashionable a team as possible.....Ipswich Town who have entertained the hell out of me over the years with there promotion/relegations shenanigans

Incidently ....................no British team has dominated European Football comps like Liverpool Very Happy

At the end of the day its all football and youve gotta love it , but its hard from over here so Im really not that fanatical
[quote]
What sport are you guys talking about? Confused

oh ffs

good call, especially about the warriors... i'm just glad i'm a staunch supporter of my teams and have always been...

i was at the warriors first game way back when, and have loved them ever since... but before them it was manly

always support the blues in state of O
always supported man U
always supported NZ cricket (through thick & thin!)
and i have always been a counties man in the NPC, but can't stand waikato(read:hamilton) so can never support the chiefs -so its the blues in the super 12

Razz
[quote]
Man U have only been winning for the last 10 years. As most people start supporting a team at the age of about 10-13 most of us on here would have supported liverpool if we were choosing it on that basis.

I agree about recent supporters jumping on the bandwagon.

I've supported the warriors since they started (although have turned off a few games in disgust over the years)
Support the Hurricanes as have lived my whole life in hurricanes territory, support the Wellington lions since its my home town now.
Used to support Man U but don't have a good enough reason too, but still like to see them win over anyone else as I picked them as my team 25 years ago and could never change allegiances, even when I used to live in North London.
[quote]
Ive always supported The Warriors but strangely…..my support for them is weakening now they are winning? I used to prefer it when they were the uber-losers. Still have a very soft spot for my old NRL side…..Souths

NZ Cricket nice one SMF………. through thick and thin, my no 1 sports team, love them to death even when they went through the stage of being pompous brats (SA tour/Parore/ Cairns etc)

I Mad hate Mad the Queensland RL team, 1st State of O game I saw, Queensland had Wally Lewis and that little shit Langer Mad in their team…..easy choice, go the Blues

I like the Kingz too but he Oceanic standard of Football is a bit weak so I don’t watch much

I don’t really bet much but im keen on a few different racehorses too
[quote]
Shitty year all round, likely (some are already assured) winners-
England- Scum
Italy- The grand old bitch (Juve)
Germany- Bayern
Spain- The Facists
CL- Facists again
UEFA- Porto

Hooray for Porto, about the only team I don't at least dislike who will probably win something.
[quote]
Its now official Man U the champions after Leeds beat Le Arse 3-2. Good to see Leeds are staying up. Never good to have a club that big in div 1.
[quote]
a great day for english football Very Happy

i to have supported the warriors from the 1st game and before that Manly and slightly still do.

The football kingz i have supported from day one, they are our team, and you have to back em, i didnt see the warriors make the playoffs in the 1st 7? years,

The warriors even had the cash problems that the kingz are having now, but they over came it made the playoffs the following year,
the kingz will come back like this, they only need to look at the history of the warriors fro belief, (plus ill be at their trainings, supporting them, showing some of us supporters stick with teams, in the hard times)

im not a huge basketball fan (not a fan of then nba in a whole) but i like watching the local games, and seeing the nz team in the aussie league will only grow my interest in the sport.
[quote]
I'd love to have seen Leeds go down, they've deserved to with how utterly shit they've been all year. Would be their own fault too, what sort of fuckwits would hire Venables, possibly the most overrated manager of the modern era. I mean here's a guy who's made a career out of failure, and always tries to spin it so it's not his fault. He was crap at Tottenham, crap at England, super crap at Crystal Palace, and a complete and utter failure in charge of Aussie. The only thing he's got in his favour is he knows how to maintain a high profile, he has the management skills of a WINZ corporate.

Not to mention they are so far in debt they are hardly a big club anymore.
[quote]
Oh and given the present state of the NSL I don't like the Kingz chances of sticking around. The NSL is in finanical strife and they are talking about a revised league with a reduced number of teams. While Turner can go on all he wants about the agreements they have, those agreements are with the NSL not a break away competition. Also bear in minde FIFA are opposeds to the Kingz as they dislike club teams competing in the national leagues of other countries.
[quote]
The last point won't be an issue for a while as that was part of the deal for the abstention vote for the 2006 finals by dempsey.
[quote]
Sad to see two blues supporters for state of origin. There is only one team to back and only one true battle cry to be belloowed on the field, 'Queenslander! Queenslander!' Go the Maroons!

Re English premiership football, I started following Fullham a couple of years ago. They seem to be doing ok but like real strike power/ goal scoring ability.

And for all you Man U fans all I can say is UP THE GUNNERS!!!!!
[quote]
queensland is second only to tasmania in its quantity of inbreds. Pink Winky
[quote]
Be that as it may supermaorifulla but they still have a good team and I like supporting them as they don't have as much talent to pick their team from but always put in a gutsy effort. You can't go past the king either.
[quote]
what bullshit styln that theory went out with the ark ya can toad fucker Wink

all that talk about the "guts and heart" of Queensland makes me sick
Moon

WALLY LEWIS PLAYED FOR QUEENSLAND and how many times did "The King" fuck over the Kiwis? Mad

How can you possibly support them? Mad

Wink
[quote]
it takes a special sort of asshole to play for queensland.

exemplified by

a) gordon tallis
b) wally lewis
c) allan langer

nuff said. Razz
[quote]
I can support the reds for the same reason a lot of you support the blues and as for the why support the king bullshit, I supported the king because he was the best. If you support the blues The Maestro you would also be supporting well over half of the Aussie test team so therefore you supposedly support the enemy.

Supermaorifulla as for whether the threee you mentioned are areseholes or not doesn't really matter. Theya re all arguably some of the best league players the world has ever seen. Alfie Langer is a legend and no doubt helped beat the Kiwis on a number of occasions but you can't deny his brilliance.

These kind of bullshit remarks are exactly the sort of thing that only fires true Queenslanders up!
[quote]
took me a while to find this thread but i got there eventually, oh well zenith arsenal will be back next year for another double Cool

Since this thread has switched to league... Can you imagine how unstoppable Ricky Stuart would have been if the 40-20 rule was around in his day. Canberra and NSW would have never lost possession.
