In my opinion I thought this remix by Tiesto wasnt that good, quite boring. I prefer the original mix of this tune, the Tiesto remix has too many quiet bits which aint that good when ur playing to a dancing crowd.

Ive know Tiesto did a remix of Picottos Classic Pulsar, Pulsar 2002 (DJ Tiesto Remix)
Havent heard it yet.

I've got it and to be honest I love it. The vocals are quite beautiful and the way the track just dies off the vocals and rips straight into a real techy progressivish sound absolutely goes off. Its actually got everything: tech-progressive, soothing vocals and a wikkid uplifting chorus right at the end. But that's me, I've heard other people say they hate it. The only down side is that its a bit too short (the chorus not the whole track). I'd love to hear it at a dance party, just to see what it sounds like.

Hey monkey and Jeff_H, tell me if I'm wrong but aren't some of the vocals from that tune ripped off from Ratty's 'Sunrise'?

that vocal is in a few songs, including a new one coming out soon on lost language... the vocal is the same one that's in ratty sunrise, but i have no idea which came first... (although i think it may have been the lost witness one, which was first released ages ago)

i wouldn't be surprised if the sample itself is from another song altogether...

hate it

Hmmm... didn't you sell it to me Nick?! Guess it's not really your thing eh?

Anyway, I like it... I believe the vocal sample is from "Song of the Siren" a track from the early 80's, and yes, it is much like Ratty's Sunrise. Playing it out and about, seems to go down well with a crowd.

Bit cheesy, but then again so was the original. SHit in shit out as the the saying goes

I never had Did I Dream through so wasnt me.

This Mortal Coil - "Song To The Siren"
Big mid eighties indie tune.

Don't like either the Tiesto or the Bomb Factory mix on this one....The original Lost Witness version is the best in my books

There is a thread over in alt.music trance about this....

Hello, My name is Tracey Carmen and I was the vocalist on Lost
Witness' 'Happiness happening', 'Red sun rising' and 'Did I Dream'
(Song to the Siren). All of these vocals apart from 'Did I Dream' came
from the acappella album 'Hush' Which I produced, including the vocal
by Nina James on Lost Witness' 'Seven Colours'. Pizzaman's 'Happiness'
was also sampled off this album as well as Way Out West's
'Hypnotised', and Justin Robertson has just used something for his new
album. All the songs are written by Edward Barton who also wrote the
classic tune 'It's a fine day'. If you would be interested in getting
a copy of this album, give us a shout.
Tracey

and from another thread

I don't know about the Ratty track but with Lost Witness's 'Did I
Dream', they re-recorded the song using my vocals as they didn't want
to pay copyright on the original sample which is This Mortal Coil's
version of 'Song to the Siren'(an old Tim Buckley track).

Intresting eh ?

nice work lumberjack... that clears it up :o)

didn't think it was that good.

Got it last week - the result of no Vinyl shopping
in weeks and too much excitement e.g buy up
large , get it home, chuck it on and sometimes
go Arrrggghhhhh I cant beleive I bought that Smile

Actually being a bit of a cheesemeister I thought
it wasn't to bad - bit of an overkill on the vocals (
one breakdown would have been good ) but
some really nice funky techy bits thrown in.
